Hallo ihr Lieben,
If you're on the hunt for a spacious, calm and cozy room and amazing room mates, look no further! Thy call has been answered :)
The biggest room in our apartment is looking for a new inhabitant. Our apartment is split into two floors and the free room is under the roof, with 4 windows, facing east, west and north with a view over our neighbors' gardens. The whole apartment has floor heating and a huge balcony which make it amazing in both winter and summer.
Pictures of the room are to come as soon as the room is ready for a photo shoot.
The apartment is situated in one of Darmstadt's most beautiful quarters, Paulusviertel. It's a relaxed, calm and very green part of the city. The forest and the TU campus Lichtwiese are in 10 minute walking distance, the city center is easily accessible via 10 minutes bike ride, or 12 minutes by tram (stop Jahnstraße). If you own a car, you'll always find a parking spot on the street and for our bikes we've got a garage.
Currently there are Lena (29), Josè (33), Juliane (32) living in the apartment. Lena studies Motion Pictures at the Hochschule Darmstadt and works at the climbing gym right around the corner. She owns way too many jackets, sings beautifully under the shower and collects plants. Juliane works as a music and English teacher, loves growing veggies in her garden, and really wants to reactivate her climbing muscles after being injured. Jose is working on his PhD in hydro geology, creatively turns nothing into a delicious meal, loves to watch The Office and laughes along with every joke he already knows by heart. He's our non native speaker so we always switch to English when we're together. But you're welcome to challenge his German skills at any time. In return you might learn some Spanish.
We try to get together for WG-dinners every now and then, but mostly we meet spontaneously in the kitchen when someone is cooking. The cozy kitchen is our common room that is always open for board game nights or Glühwein tastings. Our remarkable tea collection and the coffee machine are also worth mentioning.
Our daily routines differ quite a lot due to work and university schedules so we appreciate respectful and considerate behavior, cleanliness and open communication, so everybody can feel at home. We value a good balance between social times and me times to recover. You'd be sharing the early bird floor with Juliane. If you're an early bird too, it might be a perfect match.
We'd love to get to know you, so please send us a message and tell us a little bit about yourself and why you're looking for a shared apartment. Also tell us about your favorite food in your first sentence. Our favorite food is lasagna.
