International student looking for a room in a sociable environment

I am a 28 years old Tunisian holding a degree in Computing Studies from England, where I lived (in a shared flat), studied and worked for 5 years. I moved from England to Germany in December 2018 to be closer to my german girlfriend and to study German in Essen.

I am now looking for a room to move into in March - whether it is for a limited or an unlimited period doesn't matter.
I would love to share the flat with other sociable, open-mineed people who are interested in hanging out together sometimes. I also hope to improve my German by living in a shared flat. In my free-time I like to play football, go to the gym or enjoy a calm afternoon on the couch watching series.

The size of the room does not matter to me, but if possible, a furnished room would be great. Looking forward to hearing from you!
