Hi everyone,
Since communication in this WG has been majorly in English, and since you would have to sneak in some English words talking to me anyway to aid my 2nd grade level of German understanding, I'll write the following in English ;)
2 rooms are available to rent out in a spacious apartment. The apartment spans the 1st an 2nd floors of the house in a very nice location (see location section for details)
The Rent is warm rent including, heating, electricity, and internet (1000mbps)
Room 1:
- On the 1st floor
- ca. 13-14 m^2
- unfurnished
Room 2:
- On the 2nd floor
- ca. 11-12 m^2
- furnished with w single (extendable) bed, desk, chair, shelves. Wardrobe located outside the room.
Rest of the apartment:
1st Floor:
- Living room: couch, dining table, TV stand without TV :D
- Kitchen: we have Dish washer :D and everything else besides a microwave (for now) are available.
- Bathroom with a bathing tub
- Balcony overlooking the garden.
2nd Floor is one of the free rooms and my room
Keller:
- Washing machine, Dryer (though I never used it), bike storage, entrance to the garden.
The neighborhood is calm and friendly
The apartment is very well connected:
- the tram stop Lindenbaum in 500m away (U1,2,3,8)
- There are 2 bus stops nearby. I don't take the bus though, so don't have a lot of info there
- Rewe 180m away. Penny 650m. Aldi 1.5m
- Pharmacy 600m away
- Nearest DHL 700maway
- Nearest Rossmann 2.1km away (3 tram stops)
- Couple of bakeries around
We have 2 sister cats (Anni, and Lari), 1.5 years old.
Anny is the explorer of the two, Lari is the cute shy one.
Hence, it is important here that you do not have pets of your own. It would be great if you owned, or taken care of pets before.
This part is basically the most important to me. I would like to have responsible roommates when it comes to the wellbeing of Anni and Lari. For example:
- Windows the cats can sneak to are always closed when unsupervised.
- There is a net installed in the balcony, but they need to be supervised in the balcony at all times (mind you Anny is a jumper, and Lari would just wait to make sure Anny is still alive, then follow suit :D )
- Food lying around is not a good idea, because they will eat it. I lost a couple of meals that way.
- Also a bit restrictive is the use of essential oil diffusers, incense, and the like, because they are bad for cats. This is not a fun restriction, I also miss my diffuser using days :(
- I would prefer to find future roommates who (of course like cats) and would like to be involved in the care for the cats.
Now about the less important current roommate, me :D
- I'm Passant, 28 years old. I'm currently doing my PhD in physics at Goethe Uni.
- I come from Hurghada Egypt, and have been living in Germany for about 5 years.
- As is probably evident from all the "bullet points" above I'm not the best at writing a breezy ad. I hope that doesn't ruin my first impression because I'm really looking forward to meeting you and having you as a potential roommate for the foreseeable future. :)
WG Life:
- I would like to have a WG where it doesn't take a lot of effort to live together. I would really like if we can hang out in our free times, have a beer, watch something, or better yet, doing something outside.
- It is important to me that we are not "strangers" just living together, that would be super weird.
- It would be great though if you are the kind of person who appreciates their alone time as well. I am that person so I need some time each day where I retreat to my room for example. So if you are looking for a WG where we spend all free time together, that would be a bit too stressful for me.
Finally, I will take the time to read your messages, so please take the time to personalize them, and not send a form message :'D . Let me know a bit about yourself, and how you imagine WG life to be best for you. And maybe write some funny word like "flippidy flop, zewwwww" or something that you have suffered through reading all this :)
The contract would be of the subtenant type. City registration if of course possible.
The REZ is not involved in the rent and would be split 3 ways among us.
The duration of the contract is unlimited.
You will need:
- House and Liability insurance
- Proof of your choosing, of your ability to pay rent (bank statement, work contract, etc.). Past rental history is appreciated if you're willing to disclose it.
- An ID is required by the house owners.
Viewing: every work day from 6pm works fine for me, and weekend mornings.
I would like for us to get to know each other a bit, so an offline viewing is preferred.
