Dear future landlord and roommates,
My name is Jiayu from China (33- year-old). I am to rent a shareflat in Frankfurt for one year (from 01 Mar 2025 to 28 Feb 2026).
About myself:
I am an openminded and energetic person having international living and working experiences. After couple of years living in China I found that the lifestyle in EU is attractive to me and I want to living in Germany for the next 3-5 years.
I worked as an environment consultant with 5+ years experience in Shanghai China at a Dutch company till Sep 2024. Most of the clients I served are located in EMEA and I traveled to Europe for business one month per year in the last 2 years. Earlier in the past, I had been in Netherlands for 3.5 years to obtain my Master Degree of environmental science.
Personally, I am sportish, positive, and curious. I play squash regularly when I was in Shanghai and I always have my racket with me when I travel. I love roaming in nature to do bird watching ( I have seen 4 new species here since my arrival). I am patient and having empathy, therefore, I am more like a good listener. After a bottle of beer, people will see my talktive side and I am definitely not an alcoholic ( LoL). I am passionate in obtaining new knowledge and actively welcome and face to the changes in daily life. I would love to dig more about the real local life in Germany to break those so-called stereotypes for both of us. Thus, I am really looking forward to live at a shareflat. As for German language, I am still a beginner. I have taken German course at Geothe-Institute in Shanghai for several months. Due to lacking of practice, i am not that confident to speak German currently. But I deeply understand that German speaking is a key to get along with locals and I will keep learning and to get B1 certification within this year.
I was landed in Germany on 17 Feb 2025 as a job hunter with the Chancekarte Visa. Considering my working background, I am to find a job in environment and sustainability industry in Frankfurt. My budget is 500-600 EU/month (water, gas, electricity all included) and open to “nach” necessary furnitures. From my side, the flat should be available for Anmeldung. The ideal total roommates are 4-6 persons but acceptable for fluctuations. The shared space is expected being tidy and clean for all tenants to have good time together and solo.
As an expat just arrived in Germany, I have to admit that it is pretty difficult to provide SCHUFA (request now) for you. However, I can illustrate my Blocked Account statement (used for visa application) and deposit documents to prove my ability for rent payments.
Thank you for your time and patience to read my intro. Feel free to contact if there is a promising flat supply.
Best,
Jiayu Li
