In our opinion, Umkirch is exactly the right mix of village and city. Because of the suburban character it is nice and green here, but you still have everything you need for a relaxed daily life.
The apartment is right next to the town hall, which is why it is very clean.

We have both an Edeka and a butcher and vegetable shop in the immediate vicinity (about 4min walk). A little further away there is an Aldi, Penny & Rossmann (10min cycle path, 20min walk). The post office, a pharmacy, as well as savings bank and Volksbank are also available in about 5 minutes. There are also several small restaurants and diner shops.

The bus stop is about 4min if you walk very comfortably. There's the 32, which will take you to the Padua Allee. The bus runs at the peak times 4 times per hour and otherwise in 30 minutes.
There is also a free station. By bike you are also in about 15-18 minutes at Paduaallee, when you drive over the bike road.

Unserer Meinung nach ist Umkirch genau die richtige Mischung aus Dorf und Stadt. Durch den Vorortcharakter ist es hier schön ruhig und grün, allerdings hast du hier trotzdem alles, was du für einen entspannten Alltag brauchst.
Die Wohnung liegt direkt neben dem Rathaus, weshalb es hier wahnsinnig sauber ist.

Wir haben sowohl einen Edeka, als auch einen Metzger und Gemüseladen in unmittelbarer Nähe (ca. 4min Fußweg). Etwas weiter weg gibt es noch einen Aldi, Penny & Rossmann (10min Radweg, 20min Fußweg). Die Post, eine Apotheke, sowie Sparkasse und Volksbank sind auch in ca. 5min erreichbar. Außerdem gibt es hier auch mehrere kleine Restaurants und Dönerläden.

Zur Bushaltestelle sind es ca. 4min, wenn du sehr gemütlich läufst. Dort fährt der 32er, welcher dich dann zur Paduaallee bringt. Der Bus fährt zu den Stoßzeiten 4mal pro Stunde und ansonsten im 30min-Takt.
Hier gibt es allerdings auch eine Frelostation. Mit dem Fahrrad bist du dann auch in ca. 15-18 min an der Paduaallee, wenn du über die Fahrradstraße fährst.

I'm Lucy, 19 years old, from Lake Constance. I study childhood education at the EH in the first semester. I like to meet friends and do something often. I'm always open to nice conversations in the kitchen or a comfortable sitting together. I'm very kind and I sing in the choir. I am happy to meet you:)


My roommate Laura, is 26 years old and currently studies molecular medicine at the Albert- Ludwigs-Uni in the next 4th semester.
She originally came from Mannheim and took an education in nursing. In her rare free time she likes to do something with friends, to cook, or to be creative, in which she does jewelry, for example. So you'll see her mostly at her desk or in the bib. She is also enthusiastic Plantmom and plans to expand her range piece by piece. So don't be surprised when new plants appear on the balcony here and there. EU-15
She thinks it is very important that we all feel comfortable here and that the general climate is consistent. That is why it is very important for her to speak openly about problems or ambiguities, because we are all adults and that is the only way to work together on a solution. In addition, a clean apartment is very important for their well-being. But if everyone is going to stick to the cleaning plan and clean up their own things, then that should fit. EU

Then there's another Lucy, she's 29 years old and Trans. So if you want to move in here, this should be okay with you. She has recently studied archaeology and is currently seeking work. In her free time she plays badminton, is engaged in transactivism and likes to play pen- & paper-role. She also likes to cook, which is why you will usually meet her in the kitchen. You'll hear her laugh from her room more often than not. EU
It is important for her to be friendly with each other, but can still withdraw to your room without being disturbed.

We would all be happy to have something done here and there together. But quite unforced and if it allows time. Maybe have a game night together or have dinner together. EU

Nun zu uns ☺️:
Ich bin Lucy, 19 Jahre alt und komme vom Bodensee. Ich studiere Kindheitspädagogik an der EH im ersten Semester. Ich treff mich super gerne mit Freunden und unternehme oft etwas. Ich bin immer offen für nette Gespräche in der Küche oder mal ein gemütliches Zusammensitzen. Ich bin sehr tierlieb und singe im Chor. Ich freue mich dich kennenzulernen :)


Meine Mitbewohnerin Laura, ist 26 Jahre alt und studiert aktuell molekulare Medizin an der Albert-Ludwigs-Uni im bald 4. Semester.
Sie kommt ursprünglich aus Mannheim und hat dort einen Ausbildung in der Krankenpflege gemacht. In ihrer doch so raren Freizeit unternimmt sie gerne etwas mit Freunden, kocht super gerne oder ist kreativ, in dem sie z.B. Schmuck macht. Du wirst sie also meistens an ihrem Schreibtisch oder in der Bib lernen sehen. Außerdem ist sie begeisterte Plantmom und plant ihr Sortiment Stück für Stück zu erweitern. Wundere dich also nicht, wenn hier und da mal neue Pflanzen auf dem Balkon auftauchen. ☺️🌵
Sie findet es sehr wichtig, dass sich hier bei uns alle wohl fühlen und das allgemeine Klima stimmig ist. Deshalb ist es ihr super wichtig, dass man offen über Probleme oder Unklarheiten spricht, wir sind ja alle Erwachsen und nur so kann man gemeinsam an einer Lösung arbeiten. Außerdem ist für ihr Wohlbefinden eine saubere Wohnung stark ausschlaggebend. Wenn sich aber alle an den Putzplan halten und ihre Sachen selbst wegräumen, dann sollte das schon passen. ☺️

Dann gibt es noch eine weitere Lucy, sie ist 29 Jahre alt und Trans. Wenn du hier einziehen möchtest sollte dies also für dich in Ordnung sein. Zuletzt hat sie Archäologie studiert und ist aktuell arbeitsplatzsuchend. In ihrer Freizeit spielt sie Badminton, engagiert sich im Trans-Aktivismus und spielt gerne Pen-&-Paper-Rollenspiele. Außerdem kocht sie sehr gerne, weshalb du sie meist in der Küche antreffen wirst. Du wirst sie aus ihrem Zimmer häufiger von ganzem Herzen lachen hören.☺️
Ihr ist es wichtig, dass man freundlich miteinander umgeht, aber sich dennoch mal in sein Zimmer zurückziehen kann ohne gestört zu werden.

Wir würden uns alle darüber freuen, wenn man hier und da mal etwas zusammen unternimmt. Allerdings ganz ungezwungen und wenn es die Zeit erlaubt. Vielleicht mal einen gemeinsamen Spieleabend oder gemeinsames Essen gehen. ☺️
