Your windows go out to a street, where cars drive by frequently and fast, but if you’ve grown up in a city it’s not something to speak of. With closed windows I could easily sleep there, and for half a year worked home office without being bothered.
Whole appartment has magnificent wooden floors.
In the flat above us lives a family with 3 young children. The stomping does get loud at times, especially 8am as they leave for school, but the family is, if anything, apologetic about this, and the situation is as reasonable as it gets.
Aldi is 1 minute away, practically next door.
Rauhes Haus and Horner Rennbahn stations are both 10 minutes away, which makes it easy to reach most worthy places in Hamburg in under 40 minutes.
Across the street is a small park: in summer it is nice for a short stroll or an impromptu reading session.
The neighbors are nice, the owner has his business office on the first floor, and is a very friendly, unintrusive but open man, who never bothered us, but is always of assistance if we need him.
Heyo, I'm a 28yo software engineer working in Hamburg. I play a couple of music instruments, videogames, and random sports – climbing, skating and such. I have been referred to as nice and funny, but I can not vouch for the soundness of judgment of those people. Originally I come from Russia, moved to EU in 2013, and to Germany in 2015.
I got a couple of rats. If you have strong feelings about them as flatmates, or dread an occasional wiff of piss, this might be a dealbreaker. I try to keep the cage clean of course, and it stays in my room, but they have opposing views on how to utilize the living space.
I play drums. It’s an electric set with headphones, and I strictly stick to Ruehezeiten, but hitting sticks on the rubber pads is still noticeable. If you are especially annoyed by such noises, this is not for you.
Usually I hit the bed after midnight, and while I don’t run around the house in clogs, if you need strict quiet at 10pm, this is not for you.
My cleanness expectations are somewhere at 6-7/10. I absolutely do not want the shared spaces to look like Erstie-WG, neither do I need it to look sanitized like a protestant nun’s bathroom. I expect us to make a schedule, or any other sensible arrangement to share the chores.
Stated rent includes your half of internet and electricity.
You can move in from December or January, or we can figure out something in the middle of December with partial rent. Should you move in before January 1st, I can imagine our Immoverwaltung not preparing documents in time, so we’ll have to wing it until then.
If we meet an agreement, I'd like some reasonable proof of income just to be sure, and the Immoverwaltung will want it for sure.
Your part of Kaution is 670 Eur, to be transferred by the time you move in.
No tobacco smokers, no short-term rent.
Please write me a bit about yourself: what are you doing in Hamburg, your hobbies, why are you looking for a place, when would you move in and other things of note.
