I am in search of a flatmate for a snugly room in a 2 person flatshare on the Veddel since my flatemate will move to a bigger flatshare place.
(This text is in english so that internationals can also read it, but i am also in search for german speaking persons:)
It will be for at least the next 3 months but! *expansion and flatshare take over possible*
The room is approx. 16 sqm in size and will be – mostly - emptied out. There will be the possibility though to keep things from my flatemate. In case you still need some furniture pieces (bed e.g.) we will for sure find a solution for that.
And the room has wooden floorboards.
The rent is 500€ per month.
The flat is located raised ground floor, hochparterre. Because of a (rather narrow) staircase the flat is not barrier-free.
The neighborhood is generally rather quiet and very green. From our WG place it´s also not even a five minutes walk to a nice, small left-wingy neighborhood event place, where there is also regularly a very affordable lunch served during weekdays (´Café Nova´).
To the S-Bahn Station ´Veddel (Ballinstadt)´ and also various Bus Lines it´s a 5 minutes walk. With the S Bahn it´s only 3 stops away from Hamburg Central Station. To Wilhelmsburg, a very cozy neighborhood close by, it´s approx. 5-10 Minutes by Bus. There are some café places and spots to organize political work and activism as well.
There is a small supermarket around 5-10 minutes by foot; plus around the corner there is a turkish grocery store ´Hanse Markt´ for fresh vegetables + fruits. And next to it a nice pizza place.
A bigger shopping mall with various grocery stores is only one S-Bahn Stop away, located in Wilhelmsburg (´Luna Center´).
I would wish for a flatshare to be an open minded, kind and warm place to live together.
And, since at the moment I spent quite some time also abroad, I would also be very happy if there would be some room left for spontaneity.
Up to now we have always bought food together in the flatshare, also since we both had quite similar eating habits.
For my parts, at the moment I am still drawn to this sharing routine, but it would be also oki for me to buy & store food separately. There is also a small pantry in the kitchen!
Vegan & vegetarian food is my daily dish, now and then I also eat some fishy things. I think it would be important to me if there would be no regular meat eating.
We also have little decadent things like a coffee grinder, a sodastream for fizzy water and we have 2 freezers for some extra frozen snack and junk food space :)))
I have always very much enjoyed cozy cooking sessions together with my flatemate.
Also, if deadlines did not intervene, watching a movie, visiting concerts or readings together or spontaneously chat away ((: was part of our daily life. I am also (almost) always a companion to join sweet cultural and political activites and engagements. I am also in for a classical reading or audio book session.
The spaces I inhabit are left wingy, not only german speaking and rather do follow queer ways of living and loving. I would very wish for a person who is no stranger to this kind of mentality and shares those values and thoughts.
The Date to move in will be flexible from beginning to midth of december. It would just be good, if the future flatemate could still move in this year, because I won´t be able to pay the rent for the whole flat.
There is also the possibility to stay in the room and in the flat! (also then, to move to my current room) because it´s very likely that I will move too in the beginning/ midth of next year.
