Currently rented until April 2025! The apartment can be rented from May 2025 onwards!!!
Please read the following carefully and get in touch if you feel addressed. I always take my time and answer all requests individually and in detail. Please refrain from asking if you are not a woman or if you are not eligible for Ketsch because of the way to Mannheim/ Heidelberg/ Ludwigshafen. It is very important to me that we personally harmonize well, as I am not renting for financial reasons, but for cultural exchange.
The room is located in a large, luxurious duplex apartment on the second and third floor and also has its own large bathroom. The entire apartment was renovated a few years ago and is fully furnished and very well equipped. The room for rent is also fully furnished and has two windows that provide good natural lighting. The room is equipped with LED spots, wooden floor and high-quality solid wood furniture. The second bathroom is at your disposal and is equipped with a rain shower, large mirrors, high-quality furniture and a large sink. Bed linen, towels, hair dryer and the like are also provided. Actually, all you have to do is bring your clothes. The guest room and the second bathroom are both located in the attic of the apartment, where the study and the galleries are located. I work at home 1-2 times a week. On the remaining days, the study can be used for study. It has two monitors, laptop docking station, printer etc. Basically, you have a lot of peace and quiet in the attic, lots of space and lots of privacy, because I’m not often upstairs. Other rooms are available for shared use: living room, dining room, gallery with armchair for reading, kitchen and a large balcony. In the building there is a laundry room with washing machine, an extra room for bicycles and a cellar room that can also be used. The rental includes satellite TV, Disney and high-speed internet access. In the building there are another 5 apartments with residents between 20 and 70 years old. The room is especially suitable for exchange students who are doing their internship and looking for a perfectly equipped apartment, as well as for doctoral students or professionals who value a luxury location, safe place and a perfect view. I prefer long term rent for 6 or 12 months. The price is 600€ (including wifi, electricity, water, heating system, taxes and fees) all included except what you need for your daily life and the shared materials like tissue paper, taps for washing mashine and so on.
The building is located in Ketch, a suburb with 14,000 inhabitants. Ketsch is located 13 kilometres from Heidelberg, 14 kilometres from Mannheim/Ludwigshafen, 4 kilometres from Schwetzingen/Hockenheim and 10 kilometres from Speyer. A bus stop with direct connection (without changing) to the main train station in Mannheim, Heidelberg, Hockenheim, Speyer or Schwetzingen is a 2-minute walk away. The journey time (by bus) to Heidelberg or Mannheim is 30-40 minutes, to Schwetzingen 11 minutes. You can also reach Mannheim or Heidelberg in 35-45 minutes by bicycle. By car you need 5 minutes to Schwetzingen / Hockenheim and 20 minutes to Mannheim / Heidelberg. In Ketsch there are several supermarkets nearby, as well as restaurants, doctors' surgeries, pharmacies, parks and a large nature reserve. It is a quiet and safe area in close proximity to the cities of Mannheim, Heidelberg, Speyer, Schwetzingen and Hockenheim. To check your connection, use www.vrn.de. Googlemaps is not suitable for this. The stop is called Ketsch, Schillerplatz. It takes no more time than to move within the cities of Heidelberg or Mannheim from the outer parts of the city to the city centre. The semester ticket of the university also includes the connection to Ketsch. There are therefore no additional costs. I studied in Heidelberg myself and never had any problems getting to Heidelberg University. If you don’t want to travel 30 minutes to the city center please don’t apply for the room.
I’m 35 years old, a scientist, a dancer, and I’m going to share a flat with you. My main job is as a team leader at BASF and part-time I run a small dance studio in Heidelberg with a friend. It often means I’m not at home. I am looking for someone with whom I can cook sometimes in the evening, talk a little ir have a walk. However, you will not see me often. I love to discuss politics or the natural sciences over a glass of wine, walks in the Schlossgarten Schwetzingen and day trips to other cities. Some members of my family live in Canada and I have many friends from all over the world. I like to travel and I am interested in other cultures. I am particularly interested in Latin American culture, I love Salsa, Bachata and Merengue, which I often dance and listen to. At home I would like to speak Spanish or English, so at best you don’t speak German at all. I’m best suited to someone who is independent, who wants to focus and focus on his studies and your research, who is active and not withdrawn, but who has had his wild party life behind him (which doesn’t mean I don’t like going to a party!). A car is an advantage, but it’s not a necessity. If you don’t mind taking the bus to the city centre for 30 minutes, please don’t apply. The advantages of the apartment are the luxurious furnishings, the private bathroom, plenty of space, a fantastic location close to the Schwetzinger Schlosspark and the nature reserve on the Rhine, as well as the peace and security of the area. The apartment definitely includes everything you might need. There is no need to invest additional money. I’m only looking for women.
I don't have many rules or requirements for our living together. Cleanliness and order are very important to me. Cleanliness is a basic requirement for me. We can talk about everything else and find a solution together.
Ideally, I’m looking for a woman whose mother tongue is Spanish. In the best case, she doesn’t speak any German at all, as I would love it if you could help me improve my Spanish. I’m fluent in English, but you don’t have to. Unfortunately, my Spanish is still not very good. I understand a lot, but I have trouble speaking. English is of course also fine. If you are German, but you feel approached, then I will gladly answer your request. If I have aroused your interest, send me an email. If everything works out, we can skypse or meet at my Apartment.
The deposit depends on the rental period. If you do an internship for 4-12 weeks, we can talk about how much you can pay. Short-term tenants of at least 4 weeks are welcome!
