I would like to rent out my beloved room that i shared wonderful two years with.
Your future room will be on the top (2nd) floor with a beautiful attic structure with a high ceiling. It is 35 square meters in total. There is a bathroom on this floor, and you will be sharing it with two other roommates. The room is very open and well ventilated since it has two big windows, therefore provide fresh breathe in hot summer days. There is also a beautiful sunlight during the day.
In this house live in total 9 people and there are 2 kitchens and 4 bathrooms. Your kitchen would be in the mid (1st) floor and it is fully equipped with all kitchen utensils, a dishwasher, an oven, etc. The house also has a backyard with a private bike garage and space to chill when it's nice outside. A washing machine, a dryer and a freezer are located in the basement. There we also have some space for partying :)
I will move out the weekend of April 27th, and the room would be immediately available after i move out. Rent is 635 euro warm include everything (electricity, wifi etc.). Most of the furniture in the room will be taken, but some will stay. The things that will stay are the bed, the mattress, the wood shelves and the desks, which I would like to sell for around 500-600 €.
Location-wise: the bus stop 33 is literally in front of the house; there is a 2-minute walk to Kircheim/Rohchbach S-Bahn station; and a 5-minute walk to tram stop 26. It takes around 15 minutes to Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (main train station) with the tram and 20 minutes by bike to Bismarkplaz and the university campus (both Neuenheimer Feld and Altstadt); a very green and enjoyable biking path all the way.
Supermarkets are also very close: Lidl is about 5 min away, and Aldi, Rewe, and DM are 10 min away. You can find delicious regional fruit at a vegetable around the corner (Pfisterer Obstladen), and the fields where they grow the stuff is 10 min away as well! If you just want to take a nice walk or jog, those fields are a really nice place :)
There are currently nine of us in our home: Nicole (Translation Studies), Vera (Ethnology), Benja (working), Yidan (I'll be moving), Dicle (Transcultural Studies), Laura (working), Isa (Physics), and Johannes (History and Politics).
In the summer, we relax together in our courtyard, where we also throw summer parties and barbecues. Of course the basement is also a nice place for partying in winter!
The kitchen on the 1st floor is usually the center of all the activity in the WG (unless it's summer and we are outside). Around the evening we casually gather to have dinner together or just to chill and talk. Sometimes we watch movies together and when something is going on around here we go out :) In general, there's always someone around to do something, but if you want some peace and quiet, you can always retreat to your room :)
