WG neben der WG im Loft

Das Haus befindet sich am Ortsrand von Kahla in ruhiger Lage.
Für Studierende mit Semesterticket kostenlose Bahnfahrt (ca. 12 min.) nach Jena. Mit Fahrrad ca. 6 min. zum Bahnhof, zu Fuß ca. 20 min und zum Bus sind's 10 min.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe vom Bahnhof und auf dem Weg dorthin.

The house is situated on the outskirts of Kahla in a quiet location.
Free train journey (approx. 12 min.) to Jena for students with a semester ticket. By bike approx. 6 min. to the railway station, approx. 20 min. on foot and 10 min. to the bus.

Es ist eine gemischte WG, wir sind zwischen 18 und 61 Jahre alt. Ich bin der Alte und immer noch ein Lernfan. Ich habe verschiedene Lernthemen.
Die anderen sind zwischen 18 und 34, Studenten im Bachelor und Master, ein Doktorand, zwei Azubis und Kevin arbeitet im Home-Office. In der WG im Loft sind wir 5 Personen. Doch direkt im Loft ist derzeit kein Zimmer frei, doch es wird was frei in der WG neben der WG im Loft.
Ich arbeite als Energieberater, auch meist im Home-Office und lebe gerne in WG, die jungen Mitbewohner lehren mich Toleranz und ich ihnen Ordnung und Regeln in der WG.

Insgesamt geht es hier meistens eher ruhig zu. Wir haben mit über 400 m² Wohnfläche viel Platz, wo man eine ruhige Ecke findet, wenn gewünscht. Denn das Forum und die Galerie im Loft können leise mit genutzt werden.

Und es gibt genügend Möglichkeiten mit anderen in Kontakt zu kommen.
Kevin und Fion, die "Grillmeister" laden öfters zum Grillen ein. Dann bringt jeder was mit, was er auf den Grill legen will und wir sitzen im Garten und reden miteinander oder schauen beim Public Viewing auf dem großen Fernseher von Kevin, den er dann raus stellt.

Apropos ruhig, wenn du ein Mensch bist, der es extrem ruhig will, der nur sein Ding machen will und keinerlei Kontakt zu anderen will, dann zieh hier besser nicht ein.
Ich suche zwar keine Party-Mäuse oder Party-Löwen, doch eben auch nicht das Gegenteil.
Die Mischung machts: Wenn du es meistens ruhig magst mit freundlichem Kontakt zu den Mitbewohnern, dann bist du hier willkommen und kannst dich hier wohl fühlen.

Ordnung, Sauberkeit und sonstige Arbeiten
Wir haben Putzpläne. Da ist jeder mal für eine Woche dran mit Küchendienst oder Bad säubern, natürlich auch ich und du.
Du bist willkommen, wenn du Ordnung und Sauberkeit magst und aktiv daran mitarbeitest.
Garten und Gartenarbeit: Der Garten kann genutzt werden und wir teilen uns in die Gartenpflege.
Geld verdienen durch Hilfe bei sonstigen Arbeiten: Es gibt noch Bereiche, wo noch einiges zu tun ist. Da kannst du Geld verdienen, wenn du bestimmte Arbeiten übernimmst.

Wir können uns auch in Englisch verständigen.

It's a mixed flat share, we are between 18 and 61 years old. I'm the old one and still a fan of learning. I have different learning topics.
The others are between 18 and 34, Bachelor's and Master's students, a PhD student, two trainees and Kevin works from home. There are five of us in the shared flat in the loft. However, there is currently no room available directly in the loft, but there is something available in the flat share next to the flat share in the loft.
I work as an energy consultant, also mostly in my home office, and I like living in shared flats, the young people have taught me tolerance.

Overall, it's usually rather quiet here. With over 400 square metres of living space, we have plenty of room to find a quiet corner if you want to. The forum and the gallery in the loft can also be used quietly.

And there are plenty of opportunities to socialise with others.
Kevin and Fion, the ‘barbecue masters’, often invite you to a barbecue. Then everyone brings something they want to put on the barbecue and we sit in the garden and talk to each other or watch public viewing on Kevin's big TV, which he then puts out.

Speaking of quiet, if you're the kind of person who wants to be extremely quiet, who just wants to do their own thing and doesn't want any contact with others, then it's better not to move in here.
I'm not looking for party mice or party lions, but I'm not looking for the opposite either.
It's all in the mix: if you like it quiet most of the time with friendly contact with your flatmates, then you're welcome here and can feel at home.

Tidiness, cleanliness and other chores
We have cleaning schedules. Everyone has to do kitchen duty or clean the bathroom for a week, including you and me, of course.
You are welcome if you like tidiness and cleanliness and are actively involved.
Garden and gardening: The garden can be used and we share the garden maintenance.
Earn money by helping with other work: There are still areas where there is still some work to be done. You can earn money by taking on certain jobs.

We can also communicate in English.

Bisher haben wir 50.000er DSL. Doch wir erwarten dieses Jahr noch einen Glasfaseranschluss ins Haus zu bekommen.

Das Haus war ein altes E-Werk. Die Schaltwarte habe ich zum Loft umgebaut. Vieles habe ich schon modernisiert, doch es gibt auch noch Bereiche, wo ich noch nicht so weit bin, wie ich das will.

In Wohnung und Haus wird nicht geraucht.
Waschmaschine kannst du mit nutzen und es steht noch ein altes Fahrrad rum, was du dir wieder fit machen kannst.

Garten kann sowieso genutzt werden und muss anteilig mit gepflegt werden. Die Gartenpflege kann selbst gemacht oder bezahlt werden.
Im Garten gibt es mehrere Sitzecken, Ausrüstung zum Grillen und viel zu naschen, z.B. Wein, Johannisbeeren, Pfirsiche, Äpfel, Kiwis, Chinesische Datteln (meine Lieblingsfrucht), Indianerbananen und und und.

So far we have 50,000 DSL. But we expect to get a fibre optic connection in the house this year.

The house was an old power station. I converted the control room into a loft. I've already modernised a lot of things, but there are still areas where I haven't got as far as I want to.

There's no smoking in the flat or house, you can use the washing machine and there's an old bike lying around that you can make fit again.

The garden can be used anyway and must be maintained on a pro rata basis. You can do the garden maintenance yourself or pay for it.
There are several seating areas in the garden, barbecue equipment and lots to snack on, e.g. wine, currants, peaches, apples, kiwis, Chinese dates (my favourite fruit), Indian bananas and much more.
