Looking for a houseshare in Jena from March-September

Hi there!

I'm a 27 year old male from Ireland. I'm coming to Jena from March to September 2025 and I'm looking for a nice house share with chill roommates. I've been doing an erasmus mundus masters programme called Global Forestry since September 2023. I've been travelling a lot during the programme, having lived in Copenhagen, Italy, French Guiana, Montpellier and Jena (I also visited Nepal for some fieldwork). I did an internship last summer at the Max-Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena and now I'm coming back again to do a 6 month internship. My favourite way to spend time is outside in nature, so I do lot of hiking, camping and cycling. I have my plant pressing collection which I'm always adding to so I spend time wandering around forests finding interesting species. I also love bouldering and last summer I spent a lot of time at Plan B, which I plan to repeat this year! I play music, mostly guitar, piano and tin whistle, but I also dabble in a few other instruments and with singing. I'm pretty social, I love hanging out with people and I'm happy going to parties and events. But I'm also very happy just chilling and having quiet nights in. I've done quite a bit of travelling, which is often when I feel happiest! I'm also really interested in politics, I love chatting about whats going on in the world and I've been engaged in activism at different periods of my life.

In the house I'm respectful of other peoples space and I'm clean. I appreciate a house where people aren't under too much pressure to be a certain way, and there's room for everyone to be themselves. That said, I feel that I'm good at fitting myself into existing dynamics and I'm happy to do so. I love to hang out in the evenings and weekends, cook a meal together or do some activites/socialise. But I'm also completely fine with a house where people mostly keep to themselves.
