Lieber Mietinterissent,
schön, dass du auf das Inserat gestoßen bist. Ich absolviere von September bis Ende März mein Auslandssemester und vermiete für diese Zeit mein Zimmer.
Meine Möbel werde ich in der Zeit da lassen, diese können selbstverständlich genutzt werden. Solltest du selber etwas mitbringen wollen haben wir viel Stauraum, sodass wir bestimmt eine Lösung finden.
Nun aber zur eigentlichen Wohnung. Diese besteht aus einer großen Küche, die gleichzeitig als Wohnzimmer dient, einem Bad, Flur, zwei WG-Zimmern und einem Dachboden.
Du wirst das kleinere der beiden Zimmer haben, dafür aber auch den Dachboden als persönliches Zusatzzimmer nutzen können. Der Dachboden ist nur aus deinem eigenen Zimmer mit einer Treppe zugänglich und wird zurzeit als mein Schlaf/Lesezimmer benutzt. Das eigentliche Zimmer ist als Büro und Ankleideraum eingerichtet.
Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet, Mit Herd, Kühl/Gerfrierschrank Ofen etc.. Du kannst natürlich alles mitnutzen und bekommst dein eigenes Fach im Kühlschrank.
Das Bad hat eine Dusche/Badewanne eine Waschmaschine und Waschbecken.

I'm glad you came across this advert. I am doing my semester abroad from September to the end of March and am renting out my room for this time.
I will leave my furniture there during this time, which you can of course use. If you want to bring something with you, we have plenty of storage space, so we're sure to find a solution.
But now to the actual flat. It consists of a large kitchen, which also serves as a living room, a bathroom, a hallway, two shared rooms and a loft.
You will have the smaller of the two rooms, but you will also be able to use the attic as an additional personal room. The attic is only accessible from your own room via a staircase and is currently used as my bedroom/reading room. The actual room is furnished as an office and dressing room.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with cooker, fridge/freezer, oven etc.. You can of course use everything and have your own compartment in the fridge.
The bathroom has a shower/bathtub, washing machine and washbasin.

Die Wohnung liegt im Stadteil Köln-Kalk. Die U-Bahnstation Kalk-Kapelle ist fußläufig 7 Minuten entfernt. Die Station Kalk-Post ist 9 Gehminuten entfernt. Die Bahnstation Trimbornstraße ist 12 Minuten entfernt.
Dank dieser guten Anbindung ist man sehr schnell überall wo man sein möchte. Zur Universität braucht man 18 Minuten, ins Zentrum Kölns (Neumarkt) 9 und zum Flughafen Köln/Bonn 10. (Busverbindungen gibt es auch genügend).

Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es sehr viele. Von lokalen Gemüseläden bis zum großen Einkaufszentrum und sogar einem Baumarkt ist alles in wenigen Minuten fußläufig erreichbar (ein kurzer Blick auf Google Maps lohnt sich).

Der schlechte Ruf des Viertels ist längst veraltet, Kalk gilt als das neue Ehrenfeld und Hipster-Läden wie die Villa Kalka schmücken das Stadtbild und laden zum beste Kaffee Kölns ein.

The flat is located in the Cologne-Kalk neighbourhood. The Kalk-Kapelle underground station is a 7-minute walk away. Kalk-Post station is a 9-minute walk away. The Trimbornstraße railway station is 12 minutes away.
Thanks to these good connections, you can get wherever you want to be very quickly. It takes 18 minutes to the university, 9 minutes to the centre of Cologne (Neumarkt) and 10 minutes to Cologne/Bonn airport (there are also plenty of bus connections).

There are many shopping facilities. From local greengrocers to a large shopping centre and even a DIY store, everything is within walking distance (it's worth taking a quick look at Google Maps).

The neighbourhood's bad reputation is long gone, Kalk is considered the new Ehrenfeld and hipster shops such as Villa Kalka adorn the cityscape and invite you to enjoy the best coffee in Cologne.

Dein Mitbewohner ist ein guter Freund von mir geworden, mit dem du dich bestimmt auch gut verstehen wirst. Er studiert an der Sporthochschule Sport und ist ein sehr freundlicher Mensch. Man trinkt gerne zusammmen ein Bier und unterhält sich in der Küche. Bei der Besichtigung wirst du ihn besser kennenlernen können.

Your flatmate has become a good friend of mine and I'm sure you'll get on well with him too. He studies sport at the sports university and is a very friendly person. We like to have a beer together and chat in the kitchen. You'll get to know him better during the viewing.
