*Hey, bevor wir euch die saftigen Details zur Wohnung geben, solltet ihr wissen, dass bei uns Englisch gesprochen wird. Es lebt ein Engländer bei uns, der sich noch stetig im Deutschen verbessern möchte und zuhause gerne einfach auf Englisch spricht, deswegen solltest fluent in English sein. Alles Weitere ist ab jetzt auf Englisch*
Our flat is very beautiful and spacious, with a large ceiling height. It is located in an old building (Altbau) that has been renovated but in a very genuine way.
We have very nice parquet flooring through out the flat, except for the kitchen and bathrooms (see photos). There are 2 large bathrooms, one with a bath tub and shower and the other with only a shower but both with toilets.
Our Kitchen, again is large and spacious and south facing, therefore it is beautifully lit each day by the sun. We already own most of the appliances that one would need to cook most things. The kitchen also includes the flats best feature, which is a balcony hanging over the garden which backs the buildings.
The garden attached to the building is an old public park, now made private for the building, it includes a table tennis table and a BBQ area.
The room free is 11 square metres, it has very high ceilings. The room is south facing towards our garden, so expect a nice bright naturally lit room. The rooms comes with a high bed (extra cost is included for this) so save some extra space for you on the floor. There is once very large window in the room which leads on to the balcony.
The flat is located on the Dresdner Straße directly next door to Kaufland. The tram stop Reudnitz, Koehlerstraße is a 1 minute walk away, which takes you to the 'city centre'/HBF in about 5 minutes.
As well as Kaufland there is many other shops nearby, and we are also about a 10 minute walk from the Eisenbahn Straße, where there is lots of super nice places to eat and other things to do.
The flat is currently occupied by Maria, Fritz, Anna and Joel.
Maria is studying her masters in Sustainable Development, with a background in journalism. Fritz has just started at the HGB and is in his first semester. He focuses mainly on photography and paintings. Anna is also studying at the HGB studying photography. Joel is a music producer/multi-instrumentalist, working mainly from home.
Aside our own individual endeavors, we hangout together in the flat very often and enjoy to eat, drink and talk with each other. We also like to party a little together, however the full constellation of the flat came together during corona times, so we have not had the chance to fully go out together, but we do enjoy having a few drinks together on the balcony or even the occasional karaoke party at the flat.
As Joel comes from England and is not yet fluent in German, we tend to speak primarily in English, therefore for us English is kind of a must.
We simply look for someone who can easily get along with us all, someone who is pretty easy going and up for taking part in some things together as a group but also has there own things to do.
