It is a large and bright room with two windows, two room heaters, and all the necessary furniture included as shown in the picture (for 100€) – bed, desks, couch, curtains, TV etc. There is sunlight all year round, making it always bright, quiet, and relax, and with adequate soundproofing. Since it is on the 4th floor, you can see plenty of sky and buildings on the opposite side of the street.
On the top floor there is a huge attic space, where we can also store many things. There is a small store room in the staircase and a cellar room in the ground floor where we keep our bicycles and some tools. Apart from the bed-room, there are enough plenty spaces for storing stuffs.
The kitchen and washroom with all the necessary fittings as shown in the pictures – one fridge with freezer, and another separate freezer, four-pot stove with oven and grill, microwave, air fryer, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, all necessary cutleries, individual shelves, sink, bathtub, etc. We can say that we have almost all the necessary shared stuffs with us, that you can just move in with your cloths and basic stuffs only. Also you are welcome to add anything new to share with us.
Our kitchen is the meeting point of the WG, where we talk about almost any topic and sometimes have small house parties, but definitely no dancing, loud music, or overnight parties, especially during exam times. We also need to consider our neighbours downstairs. Since we are all international students here, we love to share our local foods and always maintain a respectful and friendly environment with everyone.
The neighbours in the building are friendly and nice, and have always been helpful. They are mostly families living in the building, we are the only flat with, so we have a nice residential environment.
The building is not on a busy street, so it is quite and peaceful living here. There is a small backyard where you can also and sometimes have BBQs during the summer.
The building is located in Volkmarsdorf, very near to Torgauer Platz. The tram number 3 and 8 is just 5 minutes walk. There is also tram 7, which is seven minutes walk. In Torgauer platz there are bakery shop, cafe, tobacco store, library and weekly flohmarkt. Also the Eisenbahnstrasse is 10 minutes walk, where there are plenty of restaurants, Turkish grocery shops, cafes, night stores, pubs and bars.
Netto, Lidl, Aldi, Rewe, Penny and Kaufland are also in the walking distance. So you do not have to go long distance for your grocery shop. Almost everything you need are all quit nearby from our building.
The car parking is on the public street and there is always some space there. There are some nice parks nearby - good for jogging, strolling around, relax time and many sports activities.
