Your new room has 14,5 m² and a direct view to the Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz, the city center and the Rathaus. The window has the so-called “french-balcony”. Walls were recently painted. The exact room dimensions are 3,55 x 4,10 m and the height of the floor is 2,65 m. With this you can have a notion of the space. It is really cozy and the look-like laminate floor helps to that. All this for just 272 €!!!
Hard-facts: it is an old building (Altbau) and the noise isolation is not enough to block all sounds between different floors. Fortunately, we don't have neighbours that play loud music or make strong noises, but you should expect that you may hear “something”. It has not been a problem for many flatmates that have lived in this beautiful room. However, if you have trouble falling asleep or have a very light sleep, maybe it is not the ideal room for you. Still, you could visit us and check it out! It is up to you!
The location is really awesome!
In one minute you are already on the escalator to the S-Bahn station Wilhelm Leuschner-Platz. To be in the pedestrian zone with all kinds of stores (Lidl, Rewe, DM, clothing stores, pharmacies, gym, cinema, etc.), only the traffic light must be green. Walk across and done!, you are in the city center. There is also an Aldi 5 minutes walk away. So you can also get super fast in all other directions by bike and all kinds of public transport (Münzgasse/LVZ and Härtelstraße are also only 5 minutes away).
In the WG stay Roberto and Batuhan. Roberto will move in the first of July, is 28 years old and comes from Spain. He studied philosophy and pedagogy to teach at a school . Now he will study at the university in Germany, in order to be able to teach here. He loves literature, cinema, sports, going for a beer with friends, playing guitar, singing and walking. Despite being a quiet person, likes to talk and to have a good relationship with his roommates. If the to-dos aloud it, he´s always ready to have tea in the kitchen or do something. Batuhan is currently doing a MA in American Studies (Amerikanistik) in Leipzig. He enjoys photography, watching nice films, making and listening to music, writing poetry and cooking. He is quite talkative and enjoys after-dinner conversations. He also likes doing movie nights with friends and I frequently go out to punk / darkwave concerts around Connewitz so I am always on the lookout for people to bring along.
As you know now, Roberto and Batu have not yet lived together, so it's quite fresh! Therefore you will be practically starting a new WG with them and they look forward to having a third person with the same idea: to not only share a space but also time and experiences. Of course each person has their own space and things to do, but they want to try to keep it, somehow, active-alive-constant. They both are relatively new, not only in the city, but also in Germany. Therefore the WG-live is important to in this apartment.
If you think that you can fit here, let us know how you imagine living together and the general facts about yourself!! We look forward to reading from you! Please also mention that you are ok with being responsible for the Rundfunk contract (please read next section) and if the moving in date fits for you, if you need a couple days early, or exactly the 01.07, we could find a solution. Of course moving in later it's not a problem.
The room is handed over without furniture. The only thing that would remain would be the “Blackout Roller Shade”: If you are interested, we could discuss a (small) price for it :). The three people are in the contract as main tenants and it is for an indefinite period of time. You have to make the contract of the “Rundfunk”, it's been the arrangement in our WG to divide up the contracts and not just one person taking care of everything.
Roberto and Batu prefer to make the interview in English, but you can write to us in German, English or Spanish, no problem!
