I just moved into this gem of an apartment and now I am looking for a roommate to move in start of December! The apartment is on the 1st floor (= one floor above ground floor), and consists of 3 rooms: 1 small room and 2 identical bigger rooms. The small room is my bedroom and one of the bigger rooms is my working room, as I work from home a lot. Your room is the other big room.
Your room faces a very, very calm street eastwards. It's 18 m2 and rectangular. It's unfurnished, so you can make it your own completely :)
There's a balcony facing the west (perfect for drinks in the summer sunset), and it looks over the Innenhof garden that you can use to plant stuff, if you're into that. There's also a storage room in the cellar :)
The location might be the best thing about this apartment. It's located in a super-calm part of the West, very close to the Nonnenstraße tram station. At the same time, it's very close to more lively areas like Karl-Heine-Straße.
The picturesque Kanals and bridges of Schleußig and Lindenau are literally around every corner. Clara-Zetkin-Park and Sachsenbrücke are at minimal walking distance.
With tram 14 you can get to Hauptbahnhof in under 15 minutes.
About me: My name is Simon and I am originally from Sweden. I'm a freelancer and I do 2 different things: music and translation. As a musician, I travel quite a lot to perform all over the world, which is my favorite thing to do. It means that my schedule is very irregular and I have a strange mix of being away a lot and being home a lot at the same time. I generally don't play music at home, so no need to worry about noise :) When I don't play music, I work as a translator from home.
I spend a lot of my free time with friends, going to concerts and other events, the Leipzig nightlife, and I really love to cook.
I mainly speak English in my day-to-day life. I do have a good understanding of German, but I still struggle to establish new connections while speaking German, hence me writing this in English. I also speak Spanish and of course my first language, Swedish :)
I'm a quite social person and it's very easy to get along with me. I hope that the person who moves in here and I will become friends over time, as opposed to just living under the same roof because we have to.
Write some things about yourself, who you are, what you do, your WG experience etc. I'm looking forward to your message! :)
The total rent for you is €450. This includes cold rent, heating, electricity, water, Rundfunkbeitrag, etc.
Internet is also included, but only until March. After that, we need to start a new internet contract, which will be added to both your rent and mine.
I'm hoping to start viewings/castings at the end of this week or start of next week.
