Hallooo!
I'm sadly leaving my room in a wonderful, friendly flat next to the Isar in the middle of Munich. I'm heartbroken to leave this place, but I'll move to another city... The room is 10m2. It's cozy, has beautiful morning sun and the window faces a green and quiet inner courtyard.
For the afternoon sun, we have the balcony kitchen :)
The bed, the desk, the little couch and both shelves will remain in the room. You can purchase them for ...
PLEASE read all the info in here, and write a bit about yourself and how you envision living together, so that we get a good impression whether it's a good match :)
The flatshare is right by Goetheplatz (2-5 minutes depending on the length of your legs), so there is a lot of public transport accessible nearby (Uhban (U3/U6), Kapuzinerplatz/Arbeitsagentur for buses and night-buse), shops all within 5-10 min walk (Edeka, Alnatura, Penny, DM, REWE, Post Office), a cinema. Around 10 min walk to Theresienwiese for those keen on Oktoberfest, table tennis, frisbee fun!
The best feature is probably living so close to the Isar (still great for beautiful refreshing walks at this point of the year), in the summer loads we're always there for volleyball, spike ball, football, swimming and all that. There's a few cool bars around, and also Gärtnerplatz and Glockenbachviertel are a stone's throw away. Getting around is really easy because everything is super close, so you can basically avoid paying for your monthly MVG Ticket, if you like walking or biking.
The atmosphere in the flat is fantastic!! We are mainly working with a few students, but in a really wide range of areas (art, music, science...). So it's always interesting to get to know about people's passions. There are also many nationalities here (German, French, Spanish). All languages are used, but we mostly communicate in English or German (friendly native teachers for anyone learning German).
As a flat we do a lot together, whether it's a music+chill or film evening, cooking session, the occasional party at weekends and some amazing big parties once or twice a year.
What we mostly do together:
We love some volleyball/spikeball
Sledging,
Binge the cinema around the time of the oscars
Hinking, bike or ski trips
Anything you can think of - probably you will get at least one of us to join in!
And sometimes we even talk to one another about feelings and all that!
So we're very social of course, but we also completely respect each other's space, people also chill in their rooms whenever they want some alone time.
There's other WGs up and downstairs, and we hang out together quite a lot. Basically, if you're looking for a lovely home and to meet a crazy fun group in Munich, this is the place :)
We would love to have someone who values and adds to the enriching atmosphere of this place. We are looking for a long term (!) roomie, who really enjoys living with a bunch of people, who takes responsibility for making this place even nicer, who can take some chaos and craziness once in a while and who communicates openly!
Additionally, there are those of us who see a lot of untapped potential in this community. The togetherness and general motivation of the people who live here can be leveraged to do good around us. For example:
- cooking lots of food and donating it to the friday food bank around the corner
- organising parties and flea markets, selling food and drinks and donating the benefits to charity
- ... your ideas here.
If you are someone that wants to push this aspect of our little community, you have come to the right place :)
To check you've read this far, please tell us whether you prefer sweet or salty pop corn when you message.
Also, we consider our home to be a LGBTQI + friendly household. We do our very best to be inclusive and to avoid any type of toxicity. We always look forward to opening up to new perspectives and horizons...and unicorns...
xoxo Mario and the flat
