Hello!
I’m looking for a new flatmate starting from March 1st, 2025.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms (one occupied by me) a good sized kitchen, and bathroom.
You have a choice to move into a furnished or unfurnished room. The furnished room has a bed, dresser, desk, chair, carpet, and table. Of course if you like the layout of the room and wish to use your own furniture then we would need to move the existing furniture into the storage space because the furniture belongs to the landlord and cannot be sold. The other room is unfurnished.
Both rooms are on the south side of the building and always brightly lit. They are also away from the main street so quieter during the day and night.
Both rooms have a satellite TV connection and internet socket. New parquet flooring has been laid everywhere and the apartment was completely renovated in 2014, so the apartment is modern.
We also have a large, modern bathroom with a bathtub and a kitchen with all necessary appliances.
Anyone who is worried about their laundry is also well served here, as we share a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer with another flat share in the house, in which you can wash your laundry at any time.
The stated rent of €612 includes basic rent, heating and electricity. Internet is not included and the cost is split between 2 tenants (20 euro's per month per person)
The apartment is located right next to the "Rennweg" underground station, from which you can get to Nuremberg's old town in just 5 minutes. It's only 3 stations away from Hauptbahnhof, however we are away from the busy Hauptbahnhof area. It's a 5 minutes' walk away from Rathenauplatz. The TH and FAU are therefore not far away.
There are numerous shops nearby, a few gyms, swimming pool, good restaurants, a few bars and directly opposite is the city park, where you can relax in the summer. You can also quickly get to the Wöhrder Wiese/See for jogging or cycling.
If you have a car, there are very good parking options in the area.
The WG is being re-established because my current flatmate plans to move out at the end of February.
I am seeking someone who wants to move in and create a 2 person WG in which one of the free rooms becomes a shared living room. Whichever room becomes the shared living room is up to which room the new flatmate prefers to live in!
The cost of the 2nd free room (living room) will be split evenly between both flatmates. This means the total monthly rent is roughly €630 (warm, including all expenses). This is best suited for someone looking for a comfortable apartment with plenty of space for 2 people and in which we have a shared living room which can be used for hanging out together and a place for guests to stay or hangout when we want to invite people over for dinner, game nights, etc.
A little bit about your future flatmate - I am 35 and have been living in Nürnberg since July, 2021. I come from Oregon, but have been living in Germany since 2016. I am able to speak German at a fairly proficient level, but as I work in English and spend most of my day speaking English my German is rusty. Before moving to Nürnberg I lived in Munich, working and also completing my Masters degree. I loves skiing, surfing, biking, running, action sports, as well as music (trying to learn to make music occasionally), art, and hanging out with friends! I spend a significant amount of my free-time doing sports, and I work full-time, spending 2-3 days in home office depending on the week. I'm also frequently in Munich on weekends visiting friends, skiing, etc.
Looking for someone who wants a peaceful place to live (not an every day student party WG), but also a place where we can have friends over and hangout. As I don't smoke it's important to me that you are also a non-smoker. Please read this carefully so we don't waste time, nothing against your personal choice to smoke but this is a deal breaker for living together.
I am open-minded and I appreciate a balance between my own quiet time, and also doing things together when it fits for both people! Ideally we share some common interests, but not a must!
The apartment is also very easy to keep clean as it was renovated in 2014 and the kitchen and bathroom are in nice condition. I am a very clean person so you don't need to have any worries about coming home to a clean flat!
If you can imagine the WG as your new home, write a few sentences about yourself and send an email! Then we can arrange to talk via WhatsApp and have either an initial call or in person meeting to get to know one another and show you the flat!
English as it is my mother tongue but we can also communicate in German if you prefer!
The move-in date can be discussed/is somewhat flexible... but in most cases the first move in date would be at the beginning of March!
