Gemütliches WG-Zimmer in 1070 in charamentem Altbaugebäude

Die Öffi-Verbindungen sind top - in 2 Gehminuten bist du an der U6 Station Thalistraße. Die Straßenbahnen 5 und 46 sind auch vor der Tür.
Die Straßenbahn 2 und der Bus 48A sind in 5 Gehminuten erreichbar. Brunnenmarkt (5 min), Yppenplatz (~10 min), Mariahilfer (15 min), und Volkstheater (10 min) sind zu Fuß bequem zu erreichen, noch schneller mit einem Rad. :)
Es gibt viele Restaurants und Cafes in der Nähe, besonders auf der Lerchenfelder Straße und der Neubaugasse.
Die Universitäten sind auch nicht zu weit mit den Öffis, insbesondere Uni Wien, entfernt

Ein riesiger Vorteil der Lage ist der Josef-Strauss-Park. Der liegt direkt daneben und hat Volleyball, Fußball, und Basketballplätze, wie auch Spielplätze und eine Trainingslage. Der Park war sehr geschätzt während des Lockdowns.

The connections to public transport are really good - you're at the U6 Thalistraße in 2 minutes, and there are two tram lines on this corner, the 5 and 46, and the 48A bus and tram 2 are within a few minutes' walk. You can get to Brunnenmarkt (5 min), Yppenplatz (~10 min), Mariahilfer (15 min), Volkstheater (10 min) on foot, even faster by bike. There are tons of restaurants and cafes nearby, there's always something new on Lerchenfelder Straße, and you can easily get to other parts of the 7th district by foot, bike, tram, or Ubahn. The universities are also easily accessible, in particular Uni Wien.

One of the main advantages is having Josef-Strauß Park right next door. It has volleyball, basketball, and soccer courts, as well as an exercise area. It has been really great during the lockdown.

Jakob (28, Deutschland), der dieses Jahr seinen Master in Biomedizintechnik an der TU abgeschlossen hat und gerade einen Job im Bereich maschinelles Lernen ausübt.

Christian (28, Deutschland) macht seinen Master in Geographie und arbeitet nebenbei in der Gastronomie

Niklas (22, Österreich) schließt dieses Jahr seinen Bachelor im Studiengang Germanistik und Geschichte an der Uni Wien und arbeitet als Tutor.

Iva (22, Tschechien) studiert im Bachelor Transkulturelle Kommunikation, speziell mit Englisch, Deutsch, Tschechisch.

Leslie (23, Deutschland) studiert im Master Publizistik und arbeitet nebenbei im Social Media Management für einen Pflanzen-Shop.

Wir sind eine internationale WG und sehr offen auch für einen internationalen Zuwachs. Wir reden meistens Englisch oder Deutsch in der Wohnung.
Wir hängen gerne in der Wohnküche ab und spielen Spiele oder trinken ein Bier (oder zwei) zusammen - im Sommer gehen wir gerne in den Park oder auf die Donauinsel zum Schwimmen, es ist also keine Zweck-WG, aber man kann immer seine Zeit alleine haben. Mit mehreren Mitbewohnern ist es eigentlich einfacher, sein eigenes Ding zu machen und wenn man in seinem Zimmer ist, stört einen auch niemand.
Wir haben ein gutes Verhätnis miteinander. Das funktioniert vor allem so gut, weil wir alle darauf achten, dass es immer sauber ist. Bei so vielen Mitbewohnern ist es z.B. besonders wichtig, sein Geschirr in die Spülmaschine zu laden, wenn man fertig ist, damit Platz für die anderen zum Kochen ist ;)

Jakob (28, Germany) who finished his master's in biomedical engineering at TU this year and is working now in the field of machine learning.

Christian (28, Germany) is getting his master's in Geography and works in gastronomy on the side.

Niklas (22, Austria) is finishing his bachelor'sas part of the Germanistik and History program at Uni Wien and works as a tutor.

Iva (22, Czechia) studies transcultural communication, specifically with English, German and Czech.

Leslie (23, Germany) studies Communications in her Masters and works in Social Media Management for a plant company on the side.


We are quite an international apartment and are open to other international roommates, we mostly speak German or English in the apartment.
We like to hang out in the living room/kitchen area and play games or have a beer (or two) together - we like to play in the park or go to donauinsel to swim in the summer, so it is not a Zwecks-WG but you can always have your alone time. With so many roommates it is actually easier to do your own thing and if you're in your room no one bothers you.
We have a good understanding with each other although it goes much smoother if you are clean, as with so many roommates, it is especially important to load your dishes into the dishwasher when you're finished so there's space for others to cook :)

Es gibt einen Keller Abteil, wo mein sein Rad hinstellen könnte, allerdings kann man seinRad auch gut draußen am Park abstellen.
There's a basement storage area available, you can store your bike there but I would recommend to store it at the park next door.

Umzugstermin flexibel, das Zimmer ist schon leer. Je früher desto besser, ;)
We are flexible with date for moving in/out - the room is already empty. The earlier the better. ;)

WLAN hat der Vermieter vor einigen Wochen ganz erneut, was gut für Uni und Arbeit Videoanrüfe usw. ist.
The landlord replaced the wifi a few weeks ago, so the apartment is even better suited for uni and work video calls etc
