Because our roommate is leaving us after four cool years, we are looking for a successor in January. Basically, we are looking for a person who would like to stay with us for a longer period of time. We always had a very fun community in what is probably the coolest location in Vienna.
The room is 18 m2, it has a very large window on Zollergasse and the bed at the top allows two separate spaces for day and night (which I like so much for home office or studying). The frame supporting the bed was built entirely of wood by the previous roommate's carpenter father for which there is an extra fee of 250 € (for the material). Some furniture might remain as I will move to a fully furnished flat. Up to discussion and negotiation on price.
The apartment has five separately accessible rooms and is a total of 156 m² in size. In addition, there is also a living room (with swing!), a new kitchen (yay), dishwasher and freezer, a bathroom with a nice washing machine, two separate toilets and 3 balconies.
The apartment is officially located on the 1st floor - below us are mezzanine and mezzanine 1st, which put us on the 3rd floor. A lift is there.
With 478euros you have everything included - internet, insurance, ORF, electricity, gas and water.
The apartment is located in the middle of the 7th district in the Zollergassse, opposite Café Europa and right next to Mariahilferstraße.
Countless restaurants, bars and clubs are within walking distance (we are also happy when they are open again). Supermarkets (Spar, Hofer, Lidl, Billa, Denn's, ...) are also within walking distance. But Mariahilferstraße offers various shopping opportunities anyway.
The transport connections are of course also very good, the U3 Neubaugasse is a 1-minute walk away, as are the bus lines 13a and 14a, 49er Bim and in truth you can also go down to the U2 Volkstheater.
Dano, Simon, Moritz and Selena would live with you, we are about between 28 and 34. Dano works in banking, Simon in creative, Moritz in music and Selen in fashion. We like to travel a lot, sometimes, together or separately.
What is already certain: Dano will leave the shared flat in May 2025 because he is drawn to faraway places for a job. This is joyful and sad at the same time. And Simon wants to move in with his girlfriend soon. So if the room becomes too small, you might soon be able to change to a larger one or if you have friends you would like to live with, this is THE opportunity.
We will be happy to tell you more about ourselves during the viewing. Basically, we have an incredibly funny and tolerant togetherness. And because we all work, it's usually rather unexciting during the week. But that shouldn't stop students now!
The climate in the shared flat is very uncomplicated, open, friendly and funny. We have a cozy atmosphere, where you cook together and do something from time to time - at times a Sunday dinner tradition creeps in.
At the same time, the shared flat is of course also a retreat for us, where everyone enjoys their freedom.
Strangely enough, it is often not really noticeable that there are five of us, because during the day there is not so much going on in the shared flat and everyone is busy with their things. Even when working from home, we don't step on each other's toes and, funnily enough, not with our one bathroom either. For real!
Every two weeks a cleaning aid comes to us, which is always paid for by one person. I.e. someone is always on every two weeks, so you would be on it every ten weeks. But you can also organize yourself differently and clean yourself, for example. It has worked out for us so far.
If you are interested in the apartment, or have any further questions, just write us a message here and come by :) We try to answer quickly.
We look forward to meet you :)
Dano, Simon, Moritz and Selena
