The house is located in one of the safest, greenest and most quiet areas of Vienna and is surrounded by parks and family houses. Our house is located in a dead end street, which makes the location even more quiet and safe.

Imported points of interest can be considered easy and quick from Barwigweg. The journal with the tram 41 to Schottenor takes only 18 minutes. With a walk to and waiting at the stop, you can reach the city center in under helped an hour.

Die Nachbarschaft

Das Haus liegt in einer der sichersten, grünsten und ruhigsten Gegenden Wiens und ist umgeben von Parks und Einfamilienhäusern. Unser Haus liegt in einer Sackgasse, was die Lage noch einmal ein Stück ruhiger und sicherer macht.

Wichtige Anlaufpunkte sind vom Barwigweg leicht und schnell zu erreichen. So dauert die Fahrt mit der Straßenbahn 41 zum Schottentor nur 18 Minuten. Mit Fußweg zur und Wartezeit an der Haltestelle ist man in unterhalb einer halben Stunde im Stadtzentrum.

We live in a nice house in Pötzleinsdorf and have a room available again.

We, that is Mark, Michi, Mel, Mathias, Paul and Evi.

Mel works as a Journalist, does yoga in her freetime, loves museums, theatres and concerts and likes to prioritize travelling as much as possible.
Mathias is a 31-year-old student that codes, plays guitar for fun, and is always up for trying something new, whether it’s a hobby, a video game, or an obscure tv show. When he’s not sampling Vienna’s coffee spots, he's busy convincing himself he's just one hobby away from having it all figured out.
Paul is a screenwriter and film director. One of his favorite movies is Ratatouille - both the film AND the dish.
Mark from South Africa loves Swing dance and Role Playing Games and is doing a PhD in computer sciences at TU Wien.
Michi is a psychology student and works in the social sector. On the side, he does almost every kind of sport or realizes himself in entertaining art projects. Due to his many activities, he rarely gets to cook, but he does so with passion, preferably with a good glass of red wine in his hand - dry, of course, to match his sense of humor.
Last, but not least, Evi is our law student in-residence. She loves sharing a laugh and her self cooked food. But not popcorn. Evi does not share popcorn.

We are an international community where many languages are spoken (Slovakian, Hebrew and Afrikaans in addition to the ones mentioned above). Our interaction is characterized by mutual interest, curiosity about different cultures, professional worlds and creative projects, and friendly interaction. We communicate (mostly) in English and German.

If you are open-minded, communicative, we would be very happy to get to know you and show you the house!

As a roommate you have the opportunity to participate in the community life. We occasionally have barbecues or film evenings together at the home cinema. You can also withdraw to your private room at any time to work or relax. As some of us work partly at home, it is important to maintain a quiet, respectful atmosphere where nobody feels disturbed in their privacy.

The common rooms are already furnished, but we can exact or change them together. Dishes, cutlery and kitchen utusils are available. All remaining share the free storage space in the common kitchen. For example, you will have your own compartment in the large receiver, your own driver and a compartment in the panel. If necessary, you can also connect your own friend or freezer in the waiting room in the basement. The refresher in the kitchen is designed for six people, so there should be enough space in it for your daily needs.

A housekeeper takes care of the common rooms every week. For an extra charge of 15 Euro per month she will therefore clean your private room.

Die Einrichtung der Gemeinschaftsräume ist vorhanden, aber wir können sie gerne gemeinsam erweitern oder verändern. Geschirr, Besteck und Küchenutensilien sind vorhanden. Alle WG Bewohner teilen sich den freien Stauraum der Gemeinschaftsküche. Du bekommst z.B. ein eigenes Fach im großen Kühlschrank, eine eigene Lade und ein Fach in der Speisekammer. Bei Bedarf kannst du auch zusätzlich ein eigenes Kühlgerät oder eine Tiefkühltruhe in der Waschküche im Keller anschließen. Der Kühlschrank in der Küche ist für sechs Hausbewohner ausgelegt, es sollte daher genügend Platz darin für den täglichen Bedarf sein.

Eine Haushaltshilfe kümmert sich wöchentlich um die Gemeinschaftsräume. Gegen einen Aufpreis von 15 Euro pro Monat reinigt sie gerne auch dein Privatzimmer.
