We are looking for a responsible person/s to rent our apartment for six months whilst we go on sabbatical/travelling. Our apartment is light, spacious and warm, featuring original elements mixed with our own light-hearted touches. It is on the first floor of the building.

The apartment is in a remarkable location, near the end of the Stralauer Peninsula. It is quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by water and trees. To the south-west, the view from the windows overlooks the church gardens, the river Spree and Treptower Park, so that the evening light floods through the trees and into the apartment. To the north-east, Rummelsburger Bay is visible through the trees, past the large common yard that is shared by two houses.

The kitchen features a large wooden kitchen table with six chairs. It opens up with French doors into the living area, creating a large open-plan living space of around 66m2. The apartment has an elegant 1920s style interior, including mostly original natural wooden floors. There is a cast iron wood-fired fireplace with glass doors. There is also a working desk in the lounge.

Four parties live in our house (including us). Two of them are families with children. At the back of the property is another house with three parties. Together we have a friendly neighborhood community.

It is not far to reach central Berlin. Two well connected train stations are nearby - Treptower Park station is 1.5 km and Ostkreuz station is 1.8 km away. You can catch a bus that leaves just 50m from our front door, which takes around 10 mins to reach either station. Another good option is to cycle.
