Hi!
We are leaving our apartment in Berlin Mitte in mid-December. We are looking for someone to sublet the apartment for some months until we can get out of the contract and then keep the flat for themselves. The move-in date is a bit flexible as we are still sorting things out.
Regarding the apartment:
It consists of one bedroom, one bathroom, one living room, a kitchen, and a small storage room. It also has two balconies. You can see the Berliner TV tower from the front. Altogether it has roughly 65 sqm, perfect for a couple or a single person. It’s completely new as we were the first-ever residents when we moved in almost 5 years ago. It has floor heating and is very well isolated.
We are looking to sell some of the stuff, either to the new residents or to someone else. This is something we could arrange on a flat viewing.
If you have any doubt, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Andres & Sara
PD: On the contract handover - at the end of the sublet period - the landlord might ask you for some documents like Schufa (request now) or proof of income. I can't guarantee which ones.
The apartment is located in Europacity a new area that is located very close to Hauptbahnhof. There is a REWE and a DM right across the street (1 min walking distance) and a recently opened cafe and a bakery just below. The canal is right behind the building and there’s also a small lake (Nordhafen). Overall, it’s a very nice area to go for walks.
There is a bus (147) that stops in front of the apartment every 10 minutes that goes straight to Hauptbahnhof (2 stops) or you can simply walk there (~10 minutes). U6 stop Reinickendorfer Straße is located 10 min walking, and S-bahn Wedding about 15 min walking. You can be in Alexanderplatz in about 15 min.
The internet connection is fast and reliable (we work from home most of the time), as it’s fiber.
Yes, it’s on the 5th floor WITH an elevator.
There's a bike storage room in the basement.
