As I am doing Erasmus abroad, I am looking for someone to rent my room in the house project Wilhelma from 1st of August to 28th of February 2020. We can talk about the exact dates. The room has about 17m² and is furnished. All in all it costs 380€/months. The room has a big wall cupboard so there is still plenty of space. The window is big and goes directly to our big and calm garden behind the house. In addition to the wall cupboard, the room has an own washbasin and mirror installed. There is also a big bookshelf, big bed (1,60x2,00m), a small coach and a desk.

ENGLISH VERSION
Welcome to the Wilhelma! :)
No, we are not talking about the legendary zoo in Stuttgart but about the self-organised house project "Wilhelma".
Although we also ...
... have a large and green enclosure to live in.
Common rooms, a balcony, the Uni-Cafeteria in the Clubhaus Wilhelmstraße as our immediate neighbour and a garden with access to the small river Ammer. In the basement we have a laundry room and a table soccer :)
... put emphasis on well tending our enclosure
You will be engaged in regular cleaning duties. A plenary assembly is held every 2 weeks to discuss and decide on important organizational matters by consensus principle. Consensus means, that a decision will be taken only if all Wilhelma housemates can go along. This does not mean that everyone has to love the decision, but that everyone has the possibility to declare his or her final objection, in other words, a veto.
... love and live diversity!
We are an international mix of students ranging from first semester to Phd grade in social studies, biochemistry, philosophy, geosciences, theology and computer sciences.
... are sure to have enough to eat.
We participate in the Food Sharing network. Briefly, this means: We receive products, that supermarkets did not sell over the day - and in doing so save precious food from being thrown away! Besides, we each pay a monthly amount of 50€ for common basic food. In the evening, one (or several) of us cook for all. Our daily common dinner creates a cosy campfire romanticism :) Whenever someone can't join in, he or she will find a serving kept for him when he comes home. Of course, guests are welcome to come along and tuck in anytime. By the way, we make a point of anyone being able to eat with us at any time - therefore, we have decided on the evening main dish to be vegetarian/vegan and without alcohol. Of course, extra servings containing meat/cheese/wine etc. are always allowed on the table.
... enjoy best connections to public life and transport.
The Wilhelma is located between the Alter Botanischer Garten (Old Botanical Garden) and the Uni main buildings. It takes a 2min walk to the Uni-Bib (Uni library), a 2min walk to the Mensa, a 5min walk to the city center and a 15min walk to the Tübingen central train station. By bus, it takes 15min (from the doorstep) to the Morgenstelle (Faculty of Science).
What we expect from you
In general, self-organisation is more demanding than living alone or in a dormatory. Therefore it is important to us, that you are to a degree self dependent in handling social interactions. This means, that you should be able to articulate conflicts clear and in a respectful way. Resignation as well as escalation in social conflicts are not only exhausting, but even worse in an environment, where it is important to find consensus about important decisions.
But don't panic- everyone of us has their own lives and takes their time and space when they need it. We do expect though, that you participate in the regular plena.
If we got you tempted to be part of our community, then just write us an email. Please write a bit about yourself (who are you?, what do you do?).
Then, hopefully, we will invite you to come around to meet us and afterwards we will decide if we would like you to live with us. We are looking forward to meeting you! :)
Cheers,
Wilhelma
