On the ground flour in a brand-new renovated building – previously a factory (check out the pictures) -you will find our flat, one side next to a couple, and no neighbours on the other side.
It is a lovely renovated building with some history. The whole floor, walls everything was renovated about 3 years ago. We live in a quite neighborhood with many families around.
As you enter, you have plenty of space to, for instance, hang your jacket on our lovely wooden cloth hanger, build in closet to store away anything (currently one of the items there is a do-it-yourself beer brew kit). There is a toilet and extra shower possibility. In total we have 2 bathrooms both equipped with a shower.
Then you enter our kitchen with 2 refrigerators, an extra freezer, dishwasher, etc. You can rest here after a long day while drinking beer, cook curry with our spices collection, or watch a movie using our beamer, projecting anything you want on the wall in front of you. There are plenty of board games to choose from as well.
We have a washing machine and plenty of space upstairs to hang your cloths. The bathroom upstairs has shower and bath.
The flat has two floors. The room on ground floor of at least 20 square meter is for you. It has a triangle shape, but has plenty of space to put anything you need. The floor is a brand new parket floor with perfect-working floor heating(!!). The room has one set of windows that you can of course open, which is enough to keep the room light, but also to keep it cool in summer.

Im Erdgeschoss in einem brandneuen renovierten Gebäude - früher eine Fabrik (siehe Bilder) - findest du unsere Wohnung, eine Seite neben einem Paar, und keine Nachbarn auf der anderen Seite.
Es handelt sich um ein schönes, renoviertes Gebäude mit historischem Hintergrund. Der ganze Boden, die Wände, alles wurde vor etwa 3 Jahren renoviert. Wir leben in einer ruhigen Nachbarschaft mit vielen Familien in der Nähe.
Beim Betreten siehst du gleich den Holz-Jackenaufhänger, und einen Einbauschrank um alle möglichen Sachen aufzubewahren (derzeit gibt es ein Do-it-yourself-Bierbrauset). Gleich daneben gibt eine Toilette und eine zusätzliche Duschmöglichkeit. Insgesamt haben wir 2 Badezimmer, die beide mit einer Dusche ausgestattet sind.
Dann betrittst du unsere Küche mit 2 Kühlschränken, einem zusätzlichen Gefrierschrank, Geschirrspüler, etc. Hier kannst du dich nach einem langen Tag beim Biertrinken ausruhen, Curry mit unserer Gewürzsammlung kochen oder mit unserem Beamer einen Film ansehen. Es gibt auch viele Brettspiele, aus denen man wählen kann.
Wir haben eine Waschmaschine und viel Platz im Obergeschoss, um Wäsche aufzuhängen. Das Badezimmer im Obergeschoss verfügt über Dusche und Badewanne.
Die Wohnung hat zwei Stockwerke. Der Raum im Erdgeschoss von mindestens 20 Quadratmetern steht dir zur Verfügung. Es hat eine Dreiecksform, hat aber viel Platz, um alles unterzubringen. Der Boden ist ein brandneuer Parkettboden mit perfekt funktionierender Bodenheizung(!!!). Der Raum hat große Fenster, die man natürlich öffnen kann, und im Sommer kann man so gut am Abend kühl bleiben.
The area is the big bonus of this apartment: 2 minutes walk to the Elbe! Especially if you like running, walking or biking along the Elbe, this is the place to live.
It’s still very central: the Buckau train station is a 5 minutes walk away. The tramstop ‘Budenbergstrasse’ around the corner. There is also an Aldi and a backery around the corner.
If you like beer or lemonade, check out the speciality shop at Buckau station, but you can also pop in the popular craftbeer bar ‘Brewkcau’ bar around the corner. If you would like to have the Elbe view, go to the Beergarden ‘ Mückenwirt’ 5 minutes walk away. Going to Hasselbachplatz does not take more than 10 min either. We love the location and the Buckau feeling of living. Buckau is one of the uprising districts with many new art galleries and small local shops.

Die Umgebung ist der große Vorteil dieser Wohnung: 2 Minuten zu Fuß zur Elbe! Vor allem wenn du gerne entlang der Elbe läufst, spazieren gehst oder radelst, ist dies der richtige Ort zum Leben.
Es ist immer noch sehr zentral: Der Bahnhof Buckau ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Straßenbahnhaltestelle 'Budenbergstrasse' um die Ecke. Es gibt auch eine Aldi und eine Bäckerei um die Ecke.
Wenn Du Bier oder Limonade magst besuch den Fachhandel am Bahnhof Buckau, oder die beliebte Craftbeer-Bar Brewkcau" um die Ecke. Wenn du an der ELbse sitzen möchtest, gehen zum Biergarten ' Mückenwirt' 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Auch zum Hasselbachplatz dauert es nicht länger als 10 Minuten. Wir lieben die Lage und das Buckauer Lebensgefühl. Buckau ist eines der aufstrebenden Viertel mit vielen neuen Kunstgalerien und kleinen lokalen Geschäften.
Your roommates are both Neuroscience PhD students, one from Germany (27) and one from India (29). They like bouldering and kayaking in the weekend. Of course you’ll be invited to eat together, play games, go bouldering or go outside when the weather is nice! But only when it’s convenient. No one is forced to join activities.
We have a pretty relaxed relationship. Sometimes we enjoy time together but we also enjoy time for ourselves and other friends.
We had a mixed flat now with 2 man and one woman.We are open to and combination.

Deine Mitbewohner sind beide Doktoranden der Neurowissenschaften, einer aus Deutschland (27) und einer aus Indien (29). Wir lieben Bouldern und Kajakfahren am Wochenende. Natürlich essen wir ab und zu gemeinsam oder spielen, bouldern, sind draußen unterwegs! Aber nur, wenn es passt. Niemand ist gezwungen, an Aktivitäten teilzunehmen.
Wir haben eine ziemlich entspannte Gemeinschaft. Manchmal genießen wir die Zeit zusammen, aber wir genießen auch die Zeit für uns selbst und andere Freunde.
Bis jetzt hatten wir eine gemischte WG mit 1 Frau und 2 Männern. Wir sind für alle Kombinationen offen.
There is extra storage place (like a basement, but then on ground floor) next to our house. There is a room to store your bike at the entrance of the building or parking space if you have a car.
We also have a fresh air ventilation system installed.

Es gibt einen zusätzlichen Lagerplatz neben unserem Haus. Es gibt einen Abstellraum für Fahrräder am Eingang des Gebäudes und Parkplätze.
Es gibt auch ein frisch Luftzirkulationssystem in der Wohnung.
