Hi there,
I won't be in Berlin in March and rent out my room for four weeks (1.3.2025 - 31.3.2025). Alina, will move into the other room mid-March, so for the first half of the month you would have the apartment to yourself. I am looking for a responsible woman (or a female-identifying person) who has shared flat experience and will respect the privacy we pertain in the flat. The place is "no drama" and "live and let live." We take turns in buying toilet paper, but otherwise there are no flat rules (except for decency and common sense).
The apartment (2 br) is a place of rest and recharge, and is best suited for people with an active life outside. You can find each other in the kitchen or go your separate ways thanks to the symmetrical location of the rooms at the other end of a corridor - whatever suits you. I can't accommodate more than one person, and no pets are allowed, sorry.
The room is also my study and has a big German / English language library (mostly novels, art and philosophy). The bed comes with a comforter, pillows, bed linen. You can get a set of towels if needed. You will be able to share the communal areas (kitchen and bathroom) and appliances with Alina, incl. the hairdryer and washing machine. The rent also includes DSL and the pro rata costs for weekly cleaning of the apartment by Marïa who comes every Wednesday morning from 8 - 10 AM. We vacate the apartment for her during that time. Half of the rent for March would be paid in advance as a deposit. I would also scan your ID, and you should have liability insurance.
The apartment is situated in one of the historical "Stalinallee" buildings on Karl-Marx-Allee. There is an elevator, lots of parking space, a nice community in the house, and a small farmer's market twice a week down the road. It's a 3 minute walk to the next subway stop (U5 - either Strausberger Platz or Weberwiese), a 5 minute subway ride to Alexanderplatz, ten minute bike ride to F'hain or X-Berg, 15 minute walk to Volkspark Friedrichshain.
The room can be viewed during a Zoom interview or a personal visit. Write a few lines about yourself and what brings you to Berlin and I'll get back to you in any case.
Cheers,
Anne
