Medium-sized room in a 3 bedroom apartment located 50 metres from Boxhagener Platz! The apartment has fast internet & all the modern appliances you will need - a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, vacuum, etc.
The room itself has high "altbau-style" ceilings, large windows and nice floorboards.
The private balcony is accessable only via the bedroom and is a lovely place to relax during the warmer parts of the year.
There is the option to purchase furniture from the outgoing housemate at a fair price.
It's no surprise that the location is the main selling point here - 50 metres from Boxhagener Platz.
The ability to walk downstairs on a Saturday morning and be walking through Boxi's famous farmers market (or flea market on Sundays) within a minute is hard to beat. Along the street in close proximity you will find cafe's, restaurants and bars. In summer it is a bustling neighbourhood with a fun atmosphere and lots of things to do ( but with the ability to retreat to the calm and peaceful apartment nearby).
Short walk to nearby transit options - Tram (2 mins), Bus (2 mins), U-bahn or S-Bahn (10 mins).
You will be living with Thomas (34, Australian) and Matthias (23, German). Thomas is working for a tech start-up, enjoys cooking Italian dishes, watching movies and craft beer. Matthias studies Entrepreneurship at HWR university, he is interested in every socio-economic topic you can imagine and is always up for a chat about it.
We have a chill, relaxed household but are pro-active with making it a nice and clean place to live. We enjoy end-of-day conversations and the occasional meal but are also respective of each other's time & space. Bonus points if you are up to socialise occassionally and have an interest contributing to making the apartment a nice environment to live in 😊
We will speak to the landlord as soon as we found a matching flatmate, so you can get a contract and register (anmeldung) at the apartment.
Important: The contract usually contains a minimal rent time of one year. It is highly likely that if , in a pinch, you need to move out beforehand the landlord will be accommodating if you can help find a replacement.
