Hi everyone,
I'm going on vacation during December 2024 and January 2025 and I'm looking for somebody to rent my wonderful room during that time.
It's in a WG/shared flat, I'm its main tenant. We're 4 flatmates altogether, aged from 30 to 45 year old. We're very quiet, very clean and considerate of each other - and we expect the same.
The rent is as follow:
- It's a *temporary rent*, I'm not looking for a successor...
- The available dates are: From now (I'm already away, the room has been prepared for guests) until at least January 15th. It's highly likely that I'll return later (maybe on the 21st), but it's not set yet.
- The room is fully furnished, as in the photos.
- Gender doesn't matter.
- The rent is 300 € for 2 weeks (minimum rent duration).
- Every extra day would cost 15 € / day.
- the deposit is 200 €.
- The room is suitable for 2 people. In that case there will be an additional charge: +50€
- There's no TV in my room (however our WiFi is super fast)
- Because of works done on the house at the moment, the balcony is temporarily not usable (which in winter shouldn't be a problem...)
A few basic rules:
- The whole flat is strictly *non-smoking*, even on the balcony, even for guests (no incense as well).
- No pets can be accepted
- Please no party drug users (even if you do them outside the place)
- Listening to loud music isn't allowed.
- You can have occasional guests - but no party can be organized in the flat.
The room's size is 24m2. It has nice wooden floorboards, a high ceiling and is oriented to the south over the Danziger Straße. Winters in Berlin can be dark, that room will be the brightest you get get in that city considering the season.
Bedsheets & towels are available to you. There will be plenty of space in the room, in the kitchen and in the bathroom to store your own stuff.
The flat is located in a typical Berliner old building right in the middle of Prenzlauer Berg: renovated in the 90's, neither luxurious nor run-down, it's spacious and very pleasant to live in.
The flat is fairly central and very well connected to the whole city.
It is located 300m from the junction of Danziger Str. & Greifswalder Str, where the tram lines 4 and 10 have a stop. You're also in less than 10 min by foot to the Ringbahn (station S-Greifswalder).
A supermarket is just around the corner, all sorts of shops are nearby, and the park Volkspark Friedrichshain isn't far. You can reach Alexanderplatz in 10 min by bike or by tram.
We are usually 3 women (Rachel, Patricia, Miri) & one man (me, Jérémie).
During your time here, the other 3 flatmates will be either working during the day, or be away on vacation as well: the place will be very quiet and will never feel crowded.
We're a mixed international/German flat and normally use German as a common language. But we'll be perfectly fine if you can only converse in English.
Our flat is otherwise intended as a very quiet home for people who identify as adults... We are all independent, autonomous and live our own lives. Friendliness, respect, cleanliness and responsibility are expected from everybody.
We are a so-called "Zweck-WG": While spontaneously having a good chat over a coffee in the kitchen is always nice, we do *not* organize regular group activities (like going out, cooking together, parties or games) and we're not looking in a shared flat for a communal life where people intentionally spend plenty of time together.
I'm looking forward to reading messages from people between 22 and 60 year old who could write a bit about themselves.
Feel free to write in German if that's your native/favored language.
Cheers,
Jérémie
PS: a FAQ:
- If this ad is still active, then the place is still available.
- Please requests only from people willing to pay the rent for at least 2 weeks.
- I'll read all messages, but I can only answer those I'm interested in meeting/talking to: No answer means no interest. Please don't take it personally.
- I also seldom answer right after you write.
- Please don't write repeatedly if I didn't answer you or if you can't accept something that I've said. That certainly won't improve your chances...
