Hello there! We’re Jessica (31F, UK, health scientist) and Jules (27M, Belgium, tech sales) and we’re looking for a third person to join our little community in a lovely Altbau apartment.
The apartment is 150 sqm and bright throughout with high ceilings, large windows, and original parquet and hardwood floors. It has four separate rooms, a communal balcony over the park, a spacious kitchen, a large (completely blue!) bathroom with windows, a guest WC, and a storage room.
The sublease is likely temporary, as the apartment will unfortunately be taken back by the landlord at some point. However, we can offer until at least August and there'll be 3 months notice period after that.
The room is unfurnished but perhaps an arrangement can be made with the outgoing tenant :)
Btw - the pic shown is not the room itself but another nearly identical room in the flat.
The apartment is a sunny and peaceful oasis in Alt-Tempelhof, right on a gorgeous park (with hedgehogs and turtles!). It’s very quiet here, yet super easy to get anywhere more lively - you're just 10–15 minutes by bike, Ringbahn, U6, or bus to Bergmannkiez or Schillerkiez (just a ride over the Feld).
There’s always been a lovely harmonious and chilled vibe in the WG. We have separate social lives but we often eat together or cook enough food for everyone, in an informal way, so there’s a nice communal energy. We’d love someone who also wants to be a part of that (and not a ghost mitbewohner) and can have a laugh.
Interests in the house include cooking, video games, bouldering, yoga, (Jules want me to add knitting), art, gigs, design, and geeking out on science, economics, politics, etc. We’re both vegetarian.
The ideal person has a bit about them and is in the same stage of life (late 20s/early to mid 30s). Tidiness is important as we’re both working professionals - e.g. resetting communal spaces at the end of the day, etc.
It’s not a late-night party house but we do host the occasional dinner / games night though.
Right-wing, anti-vax, etc ideologies are not a good fit.
