Bright, furnished 17.2 sqm room with windows to the South and East in a three-bedroom 69 sqm flat is looking for a subtenant who appreciates living with feline flatmates and is either working or studying.
The room is free from March 1st, but there can be some flexibility with the date for the right candidate.
My cats are very well-behaved and extremely clean. I'm specifically looking for a flatmate who will care well for my cats when I'm traveling and keep them company, so I can go on vacation knowing they are in good hands. That said, the ~49 weeks of the year when I'm not traveling, I do all the work around the animals myself. I'd rather leave the room empty than rent it to somebody who does not meet the requirements, so the ad may be online for a while. As long as it's online, it means the room is still available.
The room is fully furnished and offered with an open-ended contract.
Quiet residential street in Siemensstadt, which is technically Spandau, but situated right next to Charlottenburg-Nord. 8 minute walk to U7 Rohrdamm, 3 minutes to the closest bus stop. All of the City West is easily reachable by bicycle or public transport in 30 minutes or less. I work next to the TU and get there in 20 minutes by bicycle. A large park with a lake and beach are also in walking distance. Gold's Gym is close by, also swimming pool and a sports center with tennis and more.
I speak German and English. My interests are doing sports (tennis and weightlifting), hiking, pc gaming and board games. With my previous subtenants it was usually a "friendly but separate" living arrangement where everyone kept to themselves, and that is fine with me. If we share common interests, I'm also open to doing things together, but it's not a requirement.
The house is in general very quiet. Normal noise including music is fine during daytime but after 22:00 we have to respect the official Nachtruhe to avoid trouble with neighbors.
My current subtenant is a young lady from Ireland and she is going to move out sometime in March.
The rent includes heating, electricity, warm water, Rundfunkgebühr as well as 250 MBit/s Wifi by Deutsche Telekom. Getting Anmeldung is not a problem.
The train line you may see on Google maps next to the street is defunct and has been for decades, so there is NO noise from trains.
