Our dear flatmate Baptiste has escaped Berlin winter to dance tango in Buenos aires for a couple of months; we are looking for a friendly temporary flatmate.
Close to Frankfurterallee at the level of Samariterstrasse, difficult to be more central and connected. The picture of the living room is out of date, it has changed now, and I'm still in the process of rebuilding it
This WG has quite a history, and we try to keep it's spirit up. We value friends, hospitality, meeting people, art, good conversation, and music. I often organize jam sessions and dinners. You need to be at least comfortable with friends being around for dinner, and at least once a week having an acoustic jazz and folk jam session in the room next door. Ideally, more than tolerating it, you'll be part of the dinner and enjoy the music. The kitchen is small, but well organized and built for efficiency. With a minimum of discipline, it can be a tidy and efficient machine that pump out dishes for us and our friends. We currently have a system of food sharing. You can choose what part of you food we have in common, and have an accounting system to make it fair.
Don't get mistaken, that not very much a party flat, more like family house that get sometimes full of life, and is most of the times quiet and cozy. About me, my name is Antoine, I speak French, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Italian, so language should not be too much of a problem. I normally work as a software engineer but at the moment not working; I'll be leaving soon myself for a couple of months in Athens, so you'll have another flatmate instead of me. I'm 38. Our other flatmate is Renan, 28, from Brasil, a professional dancer and recently converted to a startup founder. He is fine communicating in English, German and Portuguese. I think he is also pretty good in Chinese now too.
We have an old contract, hence the prices like it's still 2010! The room is basically available starting from now. The renting period is for two or three month, yet to be confirmed which of the two. I'd like to find people that fit with the spirit of the place. Let's have a talk, come for a coffee. We'll see how it feels.
Also, in general, I prefer to get a feel for people in person, we don't want to decide on a flatmate only through a phone or video call. So if you are just arriving in Berlin beginning of March to move in, that will not work, sorry for that.
