Das große Zimmer mit hohen Decken hat einen länglichen Erker, in den von drei Seiten Tageslicht durch die Fenster einfällt. Die Dielen wurden vor einigen Jahren abgeschliffen und lackiert. Der Verkehr vom Steintorplatz ist nur bedingt zu hören, das Zimmer öffnet sich zur ruhigeren Hollystraße.
Die Holzfenster sind alt und teilweise in einem altersmüden Zustand, es zieht aber nirgendwo arg durch die Ritzen. Es gibt all die Macken, die ein unsanierter Altbau mit bringt, aber insgesamt ist alles in Schuss.

Large windows open up to three sides on one side of the big room. The wooden planks on the floor were renovated some years ago. The traffic on Steintorplatz can be heard, but is not too loud as the windows are neighbouring Hollystraße, a small and calm alley.
The wooden windows are old and tired, but they mainly do their job. In general living in an old and unrenovated building comes with some specialities, but all in all we can't complain.
Zentral am Steintor ist es nicht weit in die Innenstadt, zum Unicampus am Steintor, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, der Straßenbahn und dem Bahnhof. Noch nicht ganz im Herzen des bürgerlichen Paulusviertels und über der Kneipe "Hartmut's Gute Stube" fühlen wir uns am richtigen Ort. Weitere gute Kneipen und gute Falafel in Gehweite erreichbar.

Close to the city center and even closer to the campus at Steintor, shops, the tramway and the railstation. At the edges of bourgeois Paulusviertel and neighbor with the pub "Hartmut's Gute Stube", we feel at the right place. More pubs to spend a good time at and good falafel are in walking distance.
Wir leben freundschaftlich zusammen und wünschen uns weiterhin ein Zusammenwohnen, dass durch Verantwortungsbewusstsein und Interesse an den anderen, gemeinsamen Ausflug-, Koch- und Kaffeespaß geprägt ist.
Wir sind nicht allzu häufig feiern, aber dem Konsum von Schnaps und Zigaretten prinzipiell nicht abgeneigt.
Wir legen Wert auf einen bewussten Umgang mit Infektionsrisiken in der Pandemie, wie auch auf den Putzplan und regelmäßige Plena. Gemeinsam beziehen wir Gemüse und Saft aus einer solidarischen Landwirtschaft, in Kühlschrank und Speisekammer gehört allen alles.
Larissa macht gerade ihr juristisches Referendariat, Jamal promoviert in der Politikwissenschaft und Christina schreibt ihre kunstwissenschaftliche Masterarbeit. Wir unterhalten uns manchmal auf englisch, manchmal auf deutsch. Wir sind interessiert an vielem, auch an gesellschaftskritischer Theorie und Praxis.

We live together close and friendly and expect to continue to enjoy common space, common time, to share responsibilities and be interested in each other. We hang out together, eat and drink together and sometimes do small trips. We don't party often but we like the taste of schnaps and cigarettes from time to time.
It's important to consider the pandemic situation and we expect everyone in the flat to act responsibly.
Together we share the vegetables and juice from a food coop and everything else that is in the fridge and the pantry.
Larissa does a legal clerkship, Jamal does his PhD in political science and Christina writes her master thesis in art studies. We talk to each other in english and in german. We are interested in many things, among them critical theory and practice.
Die Kaltmiete liegt bei 197 Euro, dazu kommt ein Abschlag für Strom und Gas, den wir einmal pro halbes Jahr entrichten - aktuell liegt er bei 310 Euro.
