My flatmate Anna is moving out of our cute WG at the end of October, and so I am looking for someone to join me in our Winterhude WG! You could move in anywhere between 15-26 October 2024 (flexible).
The apartment is laid out over two storeys. The first floor (on the ground floor) includes my room, the kitchen and a dining room. Your room (on the basement level) is approximately 16sqm and is accordingly accompanied by a living room that we share. I have a mini-projector that I sometimes put up to make the place feel a bit like a cinema :-) The truth about the basement is that there is quite little sunlight coming through, but seeing this is Hamburg, sun is rare anyway.
The WG also has a garage and a cellar, in case you have a car or many things to store.
The location of the apartment is really great - 6 minutes walk to U1 Hudtwalckerstrasse, 8 minutes to U3 Sierichstrasse, and multiple buses taking you to nearby areas and Hbf. Winterhude Marktplatz is about 3 minutes away (where you can find Aldi), but also an Edeka and Netto are close by. We are also less than 10 minutes to Stadtpark, so if you are in the mood for some walks/nature runs, the location is perfect :-)
My name is Alefiyah (27, F) and I’ve been living in this flat for about a year. I’m originally from Singapore, which is why I don’t speak German - but I am trying!!
I work as a Learning & Development specialist in a German company, and I typically go to the office 5 days a week, but sometimes I spontaneously decide to stay home - that should be fine for you!
A little about me as a flatmate: I’m really easy-going and often happy for a chat after work, but I don’t expect that you have to talk to me every day! Regarding cleanliness: I keep common spaces clean ( meaning any mess is often limited to my room ;) ), and so I would appreciate if you would do the same. I would just prefer if the workload of cleaning the house is distributed relatively equally. A cleaning plan is not necessary in my opinion, but we can of course also adopt one.
What I’m looking for in a flatmate: someone to have a chat with every now and then. Maybe we can watch a movie together, or exercise, but none of this should be forced - only if we both have time! Ideally, I would also like to find someone who is already working, but I’m really flexible. I’d rather we meet and talk about it :)
Your room comes furnished with a bed and a wardrobe, but you can also of course remove them and bring your own things. The rest of the house has almost everything you need.
As Anna has taken most of the kitchen equipment with her, I am currently working on furnishing the kitchen with things like a dining table + chairs, an oven, microwave, cutlery, cutting boards, kettle, etc. Because of this, I ask that a fee of 450 euros be paid for the shared use of this equipment (all brand new). Alternatively, if you can bring something along (vacuum cleaner, for example) that would be great! And then we can maybe deduct costs accordingly.
I can’t think of much else, so - if you are interested, please send me, either on WG-gesucht or via WhatsApp (+65 8399 3558) a short text about yourself, what you do, how you imagine living together - the usual things. I hope to do viewings next weekend, (28/29 Sep)!! Of course, I can send you some more pictures or videos in the mean time.
