I am traveling from the middle of february to the middle of march (the exact dates are a bit flexible) and won't be in Hamburg. Therefore I want to sublease my room to someone who just needs a room for a month or wants to start their life in Hamburg from here. Our WG is very open and friendly. You'll often find people to chat in the kitchen or to go out for a drink, bouldering or whatever you want to initiate. At the same time, it is easy to take time for yourself and not be disturbed.
My room is 12qm big and feels quite spacious due to the loft bed. It also has a nice desk setup and enough storage. I'll of course make space for your things in the dresser and shelfs. Please note that the room has limited natural light, because the window is connected to a light well. You do however get some light and enough fresh air and can always spend time in the kitchen.
You'll be located in the heart of St. Pauli, with everything you need right at your doorstep! The U3 line is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are several bus stops nearby (16,112, 17). The iconic Reeperbahn is only two streets away, offering a variety of restaurants and bars. - Although being that close, don't worry about the noise, it's complete silent and quiet and you won't hear a thing.
The S-Bahn station Landungsbrücken is also within a 10-minute walk, providing easy access to the rest of the city (especially the Airport).
All essential services, including a supermarket, bakery, and pharmacy, are within 2 minutes. Plus, a scenic stroll along the harbor is highly recommended - it's just a short 10-minute walk away!
Don't miss the chance to live in one of Hamburg's most vibrant neighborhoods!
You will be sharing the apartment with four international roommates. We communicate in English within the WG, although everyone has some knowledge of German. Being comfortable and willing to speak English is an important consideration.
In the common areas, you'll have a cupboard and a shelf in the kitchen. The kitchen also features a sofa and a table where you can enjoy breakfast in peace while taking in the view of the shared garden, which you have access to.
The garden can be accessed through the basement, where the cellars are located
If you have a bike, you have two parking options: you can bring it into the flat, as we have space at the entrance, or you can leave it downstairs in the cellar. Please note that we do not have a dedicated storage room; bike parking would be in a common space.
Additionally, we have two bathrooms: a large one with a shower and a smaller toilet. You will also have access to a shelf in the bathroom.
Get to know the people living in the WG:
Ana-Marija:
I am Ana-Marija. I moved in in July and already feel pretty home here. I moved from Austria to Hamburg for my studies in social economics. The guys here made me feel welcomed and safe. I would describe myself as extroverted, positive and always open to go for beer or some sporty activity.
Inna:
Hi, im Inna and im 30 years old. Currently I am finishing my masters in the Aircraft Construction at HAW Hamburg. Besides that I work in the wind industry as a working Student. I'm in the WG since 2017 and still enjoy the life at St.Pauli and with my flatmates quite a lot. Besides studying and working I like bouldering, yoga, good food and tasty drinks. I would describe myself in the middle of extraverted-introverted range, both enjoying my time with very close people or spending an evening in a big company.
Sudara:
Hi I am Sudara, 32 years old. I work as a landscape architect full-time. My workplace is close to the WG. Therefore, I am always in the surroundings. I have lived in the WG since January 2022. I like reading and writing in my free time. And I like going bouldering or to yoga with friends. I am somewhat introverted, I presume. I enjoy spending time on my own a lot. But of course, I would want to attend a joint gathering too. I like conversations with coffee or beer and walks in the evenings through a park or the city. My German language skills still need to improve, so l am gladly there to speak in English.
Arnau:
Hello :) I'm Arnau, 25 years old. I've been part of the WG since 2022. I work full-time as a Project Manager at a consulting firm and occasionally babysit. In my free time, I enjoy going for walks, having a drink with friends, or spending time cooking. I'd describe myself as an easy-going person-always up for a chat but also respectful of quiet time and personal space. This apartment truly feels like home to me, and I'd love to keep it that way. Salut!
If you are interested in joining our WG for some time, please tell us about you, what you do and why you think you might fit in here.
