The available room measures 9 m² and costs 407 € per month (including power, heating and internet), with additional wardrobe space in the hall, just outside of the room. The shared spaces of the apartment include a colourful kitchen, a large living room with an attached balcony, two bathrooms (one with a shower and a washing machine), a hallway storage cabinet and a secure storage area in the building's basement. The building itself has a parking area for bikes and an elevator.
Our humble abode is in the Bergheim part of town, in close proximity to the main train station (about 7 min. on foot), on the 2nd floor of an apartment building. Neuenheimer Feld, the Neckarwiese and the Old Town can all be reached on bike in about 10–12 min, and there is a tram stop (Czernybrücke) directly in front of the building. For grocery shopping, there are an Aldi and an Edeka in about 5 min. walking distance or a Kaufland about 10 min. travel time away. A drugstore, a gas station and the cinema are also all just around the corner. The neighbouring Bahnstadt district offers a selection of shops and cafés and on Fridays a weekly outdoor market.
Your potential future roommates are Rachel (Irish) and Isabel (German). Rachel works at the university hospital, while Isabel is currently doing her Referendariat. We are looking for an open-minded individual, who would be up for casually spending time with us together and who is not averse to keeping things orderly around the place. The WG has always been a bit like a family, with each new generation getting to know previous members, and we hope to continue this tradition. At the moment, English is the main language of the WG, but other languages do happen!
