I will be away from Cologne for two months and am subletting my spacious, fully furnished room. The room faces the backyard, making it very quiet.
It is large, bright, and well-equipped with a 1.5-size bed, a wardrobe, a shelf, a tea table, a desk, a dining table with three chairs, a drying rack, two lamps, and a comfortable armchair. If needed, I can also provide some blankets.
There are a few plants in the room, and I would appreciate it if you could take care of them during your stay.
The flat is located in Mediapark, right in front of the lake, which you can see from the kitchen. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the Mediapark metro stop (lines 15 and 12), 10 minutes to the Hansaring train station, and only 15 minutes from Cologne’s main station, making it easy to get anywhere.
The neighborhood is friendly and relaxed, with the nearby Green Belt offering a great spot to unwind in an urban natural setting. You'll also find supermarkets like Penny and Rewe within a 10-minute walk.
There are currently three people living in the flat:
Laura (25, from Spain) – She is a Spanish teacher and works in the evenings, so if you have a daytime schedule, you likely won’t see her much during the week. She is very tidy, calm, and respectful.
Lukas (24, from Germany) – He is studying psychology and is also a pianist, so you might occasionally hear him practicing at home—but it's a pleasure since he plays very well. He’s more of a night owl, usually sleeping in the morning and active in the evening. Like Laura, he tends to have dinner quite late. He is very relaxed and kind.
Shared Spaces
Kitchen – Fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, oven, four induction stoves, a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, and shared pots, pans, and utensils. The kitchen is not very big, so we usually eat in our rooms. Since my room is spacious, I also store most of my food there.
Bathroom – Small but has everything you need, including a washing machine. One thing to note: if you're very tall, the shower might feel a bit cramped.
Cellar – There is a shared storage space in the building where you can keep a bike if needed..
We are looking for someone who is relaxed, tidy, and respectful of shared spaces. Our flat is more functional than social, as we all have different schedules and lifestyles, but we prioritize mutual respect and personal space.
What We're Looking For:
Someone organized, clean, and responsible—cleaning is important to us. We take turns cleaning shared areas weekly, but everyone is expected to keep the kitchen and bathroom tidy after use.
Ideally 25+ years old with prior experience living independently and in a flatshare. Since you’ll be taking care of my belongings, order and cleanliness are essential.
Preferably someone who can rent the room for the entire two months.
A deposit and the first month’s rent are required upfront.
I’d love to meet you in person, but an online meeting can also be arranged.
