Hello everybody,
we (Lena, Hannah, Florian and Miriam) are looking for someone identifying male to rent one of the rooms in our shared flat in Köln Sülz.
The room is 19 square meters in size and has tall windows and a high ceiling. The Flat is 144 square meters in total, has two bathrooms and a big Kitchen which is our social hub where we mostly meet and spend time together when we are not working, studying or doing other stuff we like to do.
We are between 25 and 40 years old and have a warm and respectful way of treating each other and try to strike a balance of taking time for the other flatmates but not pushing it in a way that feels forced or constructed.
We sometimes laugh a bit about our "super unique" urban lifestyles, aka. doing some sports (Urban Sports, biking, yoga) going to cultural events, being interested in political stuff and also mostly cooking vegetarian or vegan food (which is not mandatory or anything like that).
We would be happy to meet people who come to cologne for a semester of studying or researching, some internship or similar things to live with us for half a year (give or take).

The apartment is located on the edge of Sülz, heading towards the city center, near the Unicenter. You can reach the train station on foot in less than a minute, and from there, the line 18 takes you to Neumarkt in 8 minutes or to the main train station in 12 minutes.
Nearby, you'll find Aldi and Rewe, as well as several gyms and snack bars. All other essential shopping options (drugstores, etc.) are about a 10-minute walk away. You can park your bike in the garden or our large basement storage room. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the main university building.
In our shared apartment, Florian, Hannah, and Lena live together, all between the ages of 26 and 40.
We are either studying or working and can sometimes be found at home and other times out and about. We enjoy chatting together in the kitchen – whether it’s Flo whipping up an Asian dish after one of his 100 km bike tours, Hannah in her Adilettes sharing insights about postcolonialism, or Lena quickly baking a fancy stollen before heading off to a climate workshop, whose location we often have to look up on the map first. An open and relaxed atmosphere is very important to us, where everyone has an open ear but can also close their door when needed. Overall, our living situation is defined by a trusting and easygoing coexistence.
Our house community is also very laid-back, with packages happily accepted for each other. Especially in summer, the shared garden is perfect for relaxing or grilling.
