The room is located in a student residence. I took the pictures in the early morning, so it was still a bit dark outside, but it is otherwise a very bright room filled with natural light!
There are 30 people on the floor, all sharing a large kitchen. Additionally, there are two separate washrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms are regularly cleaned by a cleaning service, keeping them very tidy. The building management also takes care of repairs and maintenance. Washing machines are located in the basement and can be used at any time.
The entire floor was added to the building just a year ago, so it’s newly renovated.
The room is fully furnished and includes a bed, chair, desk, shelf, wardrobe, and even a small sink. There are also automatic shutters for added convenience. Please note that I am moving out permanently, and a following permanent tenant will move in starting February. Therefore, there will be no personal belongings in the room, and you can decorate it entirely according to your preferences!
The room is located in beautiful Schwabing! It’s a peaceful and charming area with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The university district in Maxvorstadt, with its bars and clubs, is about a 10-minute bike ride or a 15-minute train ride away. Bus and S-Bahn stations are a 5-minute walk, and the nearest U-Bahn station is about 10 minutes away on foot. Grocery stores like Rewe, Penny, DM, and Rossmann are just 2 minutes away. The location is truly fantastic!
As mentioned, this is a student residence (called Pater-Rupert-Mayer Heim), so it is only available for students (renting is not possible without a valid enrollment certificate). It’s a very social environment, and weekly events are organized for residents. The other residents are diverse and come from every corner of the world. People often gather in the kitchen during lunch or dinner to chat while cooking or to cook together. Participation in these activities is not mandatory, and if you are busy with work or university, no one will disturb you, allowing you to enjoy your peace and quiet. However, we are looking for a subtenant who is interested in participating in the events. There are cooking nights, parties, sports activities, and casual get-togethers to watch movies. The residence also has a party and music room, which residents can access upon request from the building management.
Please note that you must have a valid enrollment certificate to apply. Additionally, the specified rental period and rent are non-negotiable, as I am only finding a subtenant, and all other matters are handled by the building management, which has fixed guidelines. This is currently a temporary offer, but rooms in the residence are continuously becoming available, and there may be a possibility for you to switch to another, unlimited room after the two months. You can respond to my ad in either German or English! Please introduce yourself briefly and describe what you are doing in Munich!
