Situado en la parte sur residencial de Neufahrn, tanto Garching como Freising están a poca distancia. Dos rutas de autobús locales diferentes le conectan a Garching (U-Bahn: U6), o Neufahrn (S-Bahn: S1), con un corto viaje a Freising, o al aeropuerto. Con el S-Bahn se tarda unos 25 minutos en el centro de Múnich. En verano se puede incluso ciclo a la estación S-Bahn, o directamente al TUM en Garching en los caminos del ciclo.
Hay un gran número de estudiantes que residen en Neufahrn, porque se encuentra cerca del Campus en Garching. El Supermercado REWE local (y la oficina de correos) está a sólo 7 minutos a pie. Lo mismo ocurre con los autobuses (aunque un nuevo servicio de autobús por hora acaba de empezar con una parada de autobús a solo 2 minutos de nuestra puerta principal). En Neufahrn encontrará otras instalaciones bancarias y comerciales, incuando a todos los grandes super mercados.

Located in the residential southern part of Neufahrn, both Garching and Freising are within easy reach. Two different local bus routes connect you to either Garching (U-Bahn: U6), or Neufahrn (S-Bahn: S1) - with just a short journey to Freising, or the airport. With the S-Bahn it takes about 25 minutes into central Munich. In summer you can even cycle to the S-Bahn Station, or directly to the TUM in Garching on cycle paths.
There are a large number of students residing in Neufahrn, because it is located close to the Campus in Garching. The local REWE Supermarket (and Post Office) is only 7 minutes walk away. The same goes for the busses (although a new hourly bus service has just started with a bus stop just 2 minutes from our front door). In Neufahrn you will find additional banking and shopping facilities, incuding all the major super markets.

Mientras mis dos niños (mientras eran adultos) estaban estudiando en el extranjero hace muchos años, ya teníamos en los estudiantes que alquilaban habitaciones aquí y funcionó muy bien. En el pasado, tenemos como familia viajada con frecuencia a través de Europa, el Caribe y EE.UU. y somos internacionalmente conscientes, sin embargo, preferimos el marco cultural tradicional de cómo uno organiza su vida personal. Según esta visión tradicional de las cosas, esperamos que los estudiantes que viven aquí sean amables, educados y dispuestos a saludarnos (como también lo hacemos), cuando se reúnan después de regresar a casa, o mientras cocinan o lavan la ropa abajo. Después de todo, somos un hogar privado (y no un albergue estudiantil), así que sí, si nos llevamos bien, entonces usted puede ver su equipo de fútbol favorito en la televisión, o utilizar el jardín en verano, etc., pero esto está condicionado a una buena relación que se establece primero.

Si hay una buena comprensión entre nosotros, entonces podrían surgir muchas conversaciones interesantes, haciendo el intercambio de pensamientos entre nosotros, mucho más gratificante... Hablamos alemán y englisch.

Obviamente, no ofrecemos ningún servicio de limpieza para las áreas e instalaciones que compartes o utilizas y por lo tanto, esperamos que participe activamente en nuestro esfuerzo por mantener las cosas limpias y ordenadas. Esto se aplica particularmente, a la ducha/WC y a la cocina adicional, más pequeña (2a), reservada sólo para los estudiantes.

As my two (meanwhile grown-up) children were studying abroad many years ago, we already had in the past students renting rooms here and it worked out very well. In the past, we have as a family travelled frequently across Europe, the Caribbean and USA and are internationally minded, however, we do prefer the traditional cultural frame-work of how one organises one's personal life. According to this traditional view of things, we expect students living here to be friendly, polite and willing to greet us (as we do also), when meeting up after coming home, or whilst cooking or washing their laundry downstairs. After all, we are a private household (and not a student hostel), so yes, if we get along fine, then you may watch your favorite football team on TV, or use the garden in summer, etc., but this is conditional on a good relationship being established first.

If there is a good understanding between us, then many an interesting conversation could arise, making the exchange of thoughts between us, that much more rewarding... We speak both German and Englisch.

Obviously, we do not provide any cleaning services for the areas and facilities you share or use and therefore, we expect you to actively participate in our effort to keep things clean and tidy. This applies particularly, to the shower/WC and the additional, smaller (2nd) kitchen, set aside for the students use only.

Idealmente, estoy buscando un estudiante, que quiere concentrarse en sus estudios y disfrutar de un ambiente tranquilo y abierto, sin demasiadas reglas de la casa. Tiene que haber una base de confianza establecida entre nosotros, ya que te estamos confiando con llaves para venir e ir como quieras...
