In den charmanten Seitenstraßen gibt es Secondhandläden, trendige Bars und Cafés sowie viele Studenten- und Künstlerwohnungen. Am Maybachufer findet der türkische Wochenmarkt statt. Im Süden liegen das dorfähnliche Rixdorf und der Britzer Garten mit Blumenschauen.
