Establishing a housing project in Leipzig, looking for co-creators to start creating our shared community!

We would like to live in a home with like-minded people, who view the world in a similar way and share the desire to make it better. We are craving this space and have decided to either find people to build a community together or find an established community to join.

About us:
We are two internationals who met at work but really connected through our shared views of intentional living and got excited about our aspirations and motivations for finding our chosen family. We value social relationships highly and the necessary communication needed for fulfilling connections. Also, we both share the drive to deconstruct and be critically aware of normative societal structures (ex. gender roles, relationship escalator, white supremacy and privilege) and their influence in our lives. Another strong need of ours is to live sustainably, in order to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible within our individual capacity. We both work in a biodiversity research institute and are driven by our love of nature and need to contribute to its protection.

We have many different interests including painting, knitting, yoga, aerial acrobatics, climbing, hiking/camping and cooking! We also love going out and exploring nature, dancing the night away and having cosy dinners/sleepovers! We lose track of time a lot by talking and laughing and really love meeting new people to share experiences with.

Our vision:
We imagine a home in which everyone has an interest in being part of the community, a desire to create an open and comfortable environment for everyone and make time for each other and the community as a whole. With an awareness that everybody has their own independence and their capacity to take part will be different and change overtime. We’re not expecting the house to be the only thing in life but we hope it will become an important part to everyone involved! We also like the idea of a shared community project which benefits the wider community we live in, but this will depend on all of us and what we feel passionate about :)

What now?
We are really interested in meeting more people and to get inspired by their ideas and drive to live in a shared home together. We would like to start to either look for an apartment/house together with interested people or join an established community if we match ;) If you would like to get to know us more, we look forward to hearing from you!! Something to keep in mind, our common language is English. One of us also speaks Italian but our German is not very good yet…!
