Renting out my room since I am moving to Leipzig until we give up the WG.
The flat is in the 1st floor but still very bright and spacious from the front and back of the house.
The room for rent is in the front and brighter side of the house. It has access to the large balcony. The furniture in the room will be a bed sofa, a small cupboard and a table. The hallway is empty now for more room for shoes and bikes, the kitchen has been renovated with a smaller fridge.
Looking for a flatmate with a regular day time job. It is important you don’t smoke and at least seldomly eat meat at home. Also that you are calm and quiet and like to keep things clean at home. I am a scientist in Geo Information Systems and agriculture and the main tenant of the flat.
Otherwise there is Chianreev from India, just finished his studies and on his first full time, day time job in chemical science nearby the flat on site. He will only be there in March since visiting India in February.
Otherwise there is Upesh, working full time at Tesla.
They both like to cook and have a chat every now and then. We have a regular cleaning system.
The area has developed a lot in the last few years. It borders on NeuKölln, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain and is surrounded with water and parks. In the evenings and sundays/holidays the streets are calm. The Karlkunger kiez has some trendy bars, cafes and restaurants nearby and in just a few minutes you are in the lively, active areas of neu kölln or kreuzberg. Most everything needed is accessible by bike. The Treptower Park S-Bahn is 10 minutes away by foot. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the city center by tram. The neighbourhood is quite mixed. Familys, students/party WGs and so forth mingle here. The Elsenstreet aroung the corner can be annoying at times.
About me: I am a passionate rock climber and moved to berlin around 7 years ago. I just lived in a WG in Babelsberg before coming back to my flat in Berlin. I used to live in the flat with my (now) 20 and 18 year old daughters.
I'm pretty much vegan and a strict non smoker.
I'm really into spiritual and awareness practices like meditation, kundalini yoga and wim hof breathing. Ive travelled and moved around a lot in my life and met quite a few people of all kind of nationalities.
