Hey Everyone,
Thanks for taking a moment to look over my ad!
I'm currently looking for someone to take one of the rooms in my 2 room apartment in Siemensstadt from around the 1st of November. Although, the move in date could be more flexible if it needs to be!
Ideally, the minimum term should be 3 months and at the 6 month point, we can chat to see if it’s a good fit and we’d like to extend until the end of 2025.
The room is bright with lots of sunshine in the morning, it's spacious with enough room to move a desk and a few other things into it plus, overlooks a cluster of trees and a usually quiet road. The apartment its self is a really interesting Bauhaus building designed in the 30s. Although it's probably considered an 'altbau' it's really well insulated and warm in the winter. The apartment is also just a 5 minute walk from the U7 at Haselhorst which takes you into Charlottenburg in 15 minutes and Neukölln in 35-40. The area is also surrounded by amazing lakes and forests. It's really great to ride a bike up north when the sun comes out!
In the apartment there's a washing machine, dishwasher and all kinds of pots, pans and appliances that I'm more than happy to share. There is also a little bit of space in the keller too in case you'd need to keep a few things. I'll also buy a bigger fridge and some new kitchen chairs soon.
A bit about me... I'm 32 and a musician / music technician rom the UK. I've been in Berlin for quite a few years now and I've been slowly renovating this apartment over the past 11 months. I'd consider myself quite a tolerant and open-minded person and, I'm generally really curious about life! When it comes to how I like to spend my time, I love to work on my creative projects, write music and record ideas. When I can, I also love to go to concerts all over the city. Aside from music, I'm also really into travelling, working out, cooking, reading and just generally exploring Berlin. During the week, I work from home during the days but sometimes go into the office in Friedrichshain. I also have another part-time job in the evenings and on weekends. I'm also not really a 'city' person so, I like to visit my family in their village every 6 weeks or so.
I'm open to living with almost anyone. For me, it is all dependent on the vibe and if we share the same values. Having said that, I think I'd ideally be looking to share the apartment with someone that is also creative, down to earth and generally easygoing. The most important thing for me is that there’s harmony in the apartment, we respect each other’s personal space and we don’t let the dishes pile up too high :)
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the current contract that I have with the landlord, I am unable to offer an Anmeldung at the address right now. This might be able to be fixed later but, I definitely can't guarantee it for now. I’ll do some more research on this… one thing that I unfortunately have to sure of is that the person I share the apartment with speaks German to sort out little things while im away. Also, I’m currently working towards my B1 exam and I’d reeeeaaallllyy appreciate some speaking practice!
