The size of the room is 17 square metres. Two large windows let plenty of daylight into the room, making it extremely friendly and bright. Everything has just been repainted (including the walls and even the ceiling). It feels like you're moving into a really new room. We have real wood parquet flooring throughout.
As the flat is located in an old building, there are high ceilings everywhere - which also makes the room feel large and spacious. The room is on the mezzanine floor, so there are not many stairs to climb and it is still high enough above the street. (for ventilation, etc.) There is also a small front garden in front of the room with some beautiful shrubs that are tended by our neighbours. It looks very pretty in spring and summer.
In the room itself you would have to take care of very little, because everything important is there: a comfortable bed with mattress, a classy wardrobe, a small and a large shelf, a desk with lamp, two chairs etc.
The location of the flat is simply perfect. We are right in the centre, close to the main train station, the university, shopping facilities, other student residences and everything you need. It's very quiet here - despite the central location. (Perhaps this is also due to the small one-way street in front of the front door) You can get everywhere quickly and easily on foot. You can walk to the bakery at the weekend or to the train to Berlin in exactly 5 minutes. Logically, all kinds of buses, trams etc. are also very easy to reach. For shopping, the nearest Kaufland is a good 10-minute walk away, and there are also several kebab/pizza/pub shops in the immediate vicinity. There is a car park right outside the front door.
As one of our flatmates has now finished his studies and is working in Berlin, we have a room available! Your flatmates will be Lea (25) - studying Law at Viadrina and Giwon (30), who is now doing a Master's degree in International Business Administration at Viadrina. Everyone here is very relaxed. The kitchen is the meeting place and a cosy place to sit together. Of course, anyone can just close their door if they want some peace and quiet - it's quite normal. We have everything you need: Washing machine, dishwasher and a wonderful large garden with a fire pit that we can all use.
The monthly rent is €385 plus €100 for electricity, water, heating, rubbish charges, maintenance and of course high speed internet - in other words, everything you need to live. There are no additional costs. The deposit is 460,00€.
