Our flat is located between the Heidelberg Weststadt-Südstadt railway stations and the main railway station.

The tram stop Christuskirche (lines 23 and 24) is also around the corner.
The old town is 5 to 10 minutes away by bike (depending on who you ask) and the train station is even faster.

Supermarkets and all the other stuff (Pizza place, café, known fastfood chains, post office, petrol station, scattered gardens, church/synagogue, pleasant jogging paths, woods, cemetery etc.) are also 5 minutes away by bike and the nearest washing machine is in the bathroom.

Unsere Wohnung liegt zwischen den Bahnstationen Heidelberg Weststadt-Südstadt und dem Hauptbahnhof. Das Haus, in dem die Wohnung ist, hat keinen Aufzug.

Die Straßenbahnhaltestelle Christuskirche (Linien 23 und 24) ist in der Nähe.

In die Altstadt sind es 5 bis 10 Minuten (je nachdem wer gefragt wird) mit dem Fahrrad und zum Bahnhof 5 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad.

Supermärkte und den ganzen Kram (Pizzeria, Café, Macces, Post, Tankstelle, Strebergärten, Kirche/Synagoge, schöne Jogging Route, Wald, Friedhof, etc.) gibts auch in 5 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad und die nächste Waschmaschine ist im Bad.

If we were to describe ourselves with a lot of imagination: We are the four apocalyptic seahorses from the anti-patriarchal thermal bath.

In short: we are cute, chaotic, caring and political.

We really like our mini balcony and kitchen. Especially when we sit there together, eat delicious food, have a cold drink or grumble in the morning about what else we need to do.

We always try our hand at joint activities. Sometimes it works, sometimes we fail. But what always works: listening to each other, reminding each other of our cleaning schedule, eating together, going to the cinema, getting each other excited about things, grumbling together sometimes.

This flat share is more than a "Zweck-WG" (more than just some people who share a flat), but rather a community of some kind :)


We are:

Beti (around 27); Paco (plusminus 29); and Dilay (one could say 31)


Paco (probably he/him) just finished studying theatre education and educational sciences at the PH. He doesn't jog bright and early. Actually, he hardly ever jogs. But what he does do: a lot of theatre stuff, pick and cook mushrooms and laughing about men. He's also the proud owner of a mini children's handheld microscope.

Beti (she/her) is an afrodiasporian & a queer person who loves to sleep in late. Wir mögen unseren Mini-Balkon und unsere Küche sehr. Vor allem, wenn wir da zusammen drin sitzen, leckeres Essen essen, ein Kaltgetränk trinken oder morgens (let’s be honest: eher am späten Vormittag) meckern, was wir noch so alles machen müssen.

Wir versuchen uns immer an gemeinschaftlichen Aktivitäten, uns an unseren Putzplan zu erinnern, gemeinsam essen, ins Kino gehen- Manchmal klappt's, manchmal scheitern wir.
Aber was immer wieder klappt: sich zuhören, Verständnis für einander haben, sich gegenseitig für Dinge begeistern, zusammen auch mal meckern und lachen, sich Raum für Ich-Zeit geben.

We know that this society is unfair and shitty, so we want to share that to invite especially FINTA* ( Women*, Inter, Non-Binary, trans* and Agender), disabled people, as well as BIPoC (Black, Indigenous and Person of Colour - self-description for people affected by racism) into our flatshare. Of course, these terms cannot cover all categories and self-desciption in all cultural and political contexts, but hopefully it becomes clear: we want to take responsibility in creating a safe(er) space.

We also want to remain a flatshare that works continuously on creating safe(er) spaces and also live our political statements. That means: This is no place for anti-black/african racism, homo-, biphobia and anti-trans sentiment, sexism, classism, ableism, islamophobia and all the other shit! But that's clear, isn't it? Right?! Instead, there is room for accountability, support and learning processes. At the same time, we do not want to exclude anyone who feels seriously open here to take responsibilty and is willing to unlearn learned dynamics of discrimination and oppression in living together. We know that we have all grown into this system.

Note on rent costs: If the rent costs are too high, we as a flatshare would be willing to support you and possibly take over a part. We all have separate contracts.

Further and important information:

1. We are not a huge party flat share.
2. We would like you to have a willingness to do a Covid test when you feel sick or had contact with a positive person. More for high risk behaviour, this is an interpersonal commitment to high risk groups.
3. We only want Covid-vaccinated people – unless, of course, you can't get vaccinated.
4. Two people sometimes drink alcohol.
5. We live mostly vegetarian to vegan at home.
6. The cat in the pictures (Puffle) unfortunately no longer lives here 😭💔
9. In front of the house there is relatively much traffic (road + rail), but hardly noticeable with the window closed. The rooms have thick window glass.

Wir wissen, dass die Gesellschaft unfair und beschissen ist, daher möchten wir mitteilen, dass wir, für insbesondere FINTA* (Frauen*, Inter, Non-Binäre, trans* und Agender), Menschen mit Behinderungen, sowie BIPoC (Black, Indigenous and Person of Colour - Selbstbezeichnung für von Rassismus Betroffene) Menschen Platz schaffen und einladen wollen.
Diese Begriffe können natürlich nicht alle Kategorien und Selbstbezeichnungen in allen kulturellen und politischen Kontexten abdecken, aber hoffentlich wird klar: Wir wollen verantwortungsbewusst einen safe(er) space/ sicherer(en) Raum kreieren.

Wir wollen auch eine WG bleiben, die ein sicherer(er) Raum sein kann und auch ein politisches Statement lebt. Das heißt: Kein Platz für Anti-Schwarzen/Afrikansichen Rassismus, Homo- und Biphobie, Transfeindlichkeit, Sexismus, Klassismus, Ableismus, Islamophobie und den ganzen anderen Scheiß! Dafür ist Platz für Verantwortung, Unterstützung und Lernprozesse. Gleichzeitig möchten wir keine Person ausschließen, die sich von unserer WG angesprochen fühlt und bereit ist, Verantwortung zu übernehmen- im gemeinsamen Zusammenleben auch angelernte Dynamiken der Diskriminierung und Unterdrückung zu verlernen. Wir wissen, dass wir alle in dieses System hineingewachsen sind.

Hinweis zu den Mietkosten: Falls die Mietkosten zu hoch sind, wären wir als WG bereit, Dich zu unterstützen und eventuell einen Teil zu übernehmen. Wir haben alle separate Verträge.



Weiteres und Wichtiges:

1. Wir sind keine mega Party-WG.
2. Wir wünschen uns eine Bereitschaft, einen Covid-Test zu machen, falls man sich krank fühlt oder Kontakt zu positiven Personen hatte. Wir wollen dadurch Hochrisikogruppen schützen.
3. Wir wünschen uns nur Covid-geimpfte Menschen – außer natürlich, man kann sich nicht impfen lassen.
4. Zwei Menschen trinken manchmal Alkohol.
5. Wir leben zu Hause 90% der Zeit vegetarisch bis vegan.
6. Die Katze (Puffle) auf den Bildern wohnt leider nicht mehr hier 😭💔
7. Vor dem Haus gibt es relativ viel Verkehr (Straße + Schiene), mit geschlossenem Fenster aber kaum wahrzunehmen, weil die Fenster dickes Glas haben.

Falls Du bestimmte (Zugangs-)Bedürfnisse hast, freuen wir uns, wenn du sie uns mitteilst! Solltet ihr Fragen haben oder manches unklar sein, sagt Bescheid.
