Environment
Weisenau is an urban district of the state capital Mainz located near the center of Mainz and the river Rhine.
Besides supermarkets, bakery stores, GPs and pharmacies there are several international restaurants serving tasty meals.
The Volkspark and the Rhine riverbank invite spending leisure time and offer space for sportive activities.
Vis-à-vis to the apartment-house the waterside is easily reachable. The Rowing Club Mainz and the boat school at the Winterhafen are located nearby.
The junction Mainz-Weisenau/Großberg is linked to the Mainzer Ring (A60), with several bus- and train lines of the MVG Weisenau is connected to the Mainz city center and to the other parts of the city in about 10 minutes. The MVG busstop is located directly in front of the house. The Mainz universities are also easy to reach by bike and bus. The cities nearby such as Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and Darmstadt can be reached by car, bus and train in 15 - 30 minutes. E-scooters are usually available in front of the door for commuting between Weisenau and downtown Mainz.
The WG currently consists of 5 different nations. The atmosphere in the house is very harmonious, refreshing, inspiring and pleasant. The flat mates have a good relationship with each other. There is often the option for interesting, enriching conversations, from time to time they do joint sporting, other leisure activities like going to the cinema or going to a city festival together.

On the ground floor there is an open communal and dining area with a large, fully equipped fitted kitchen including a stove, counter and bar stools. There is enough space to store personal groceries and kitchen accessories. The lounge and the outdoor atrium garden offer good opportunities for study and work.
The house provides a WiFi hotspot. An LTE router would be required for complex internet use (e.g. online-lessons, streaming, etc - costs approx. 20 Eur/month, this is not included in the rental fee and the contract has to be done be the renter her-/himself or liaise with the other flat mates concerning a shared option.
In addition to the washing machine and dryer, the laundry room includes two storage baskets for each apartment, an ironing board, iron, drying rack and cordless vacuum cleaner.
There is a cupboard full of cleaning materials and another cordless vacuum cleaner on the ground floor.
In addition to the flatmates' own responsibilities, the common area is professionally cleaned once a week.
Please note that the rental agreement will be closed to minimum 1 year. After the first year the agreement will continue unlimited and can be cancelled three months in advance of our moving out.
