The room comes fully furnished including a bed, mattress, wardrobe, desk, storage furniture and 2 office chairs. The bed includes storage room underneath, and can be extended to a double bed if needed (as in the picture).
The room has a big window to the street (which is quiet), and facing east so you have the morning sun until around 9 am. This makes it great to study in the afternoon.
The apartment includes a combined washing machine/dryer and a dishwasher. There are 2 bathrooms, 2 rooms share the smaller one and the other 3 the bigger one. There is also an elevator in the building.
Just 4 minutes walk from the nearest U-Bahn stop (Giselastraße) with U3 and U6 connection, and 3 minutes to a bus stop where you can easily get to the inner city or the central train station.
The street is a side street to Leopoldstraße, where you have loads of grocery stores and other shopping possibilities. It is a quiet neighborhood, yet still super close to the center. Only 7 minutes by foot to LMU and about 20 minutes with public transport to both TUM main campus and TUM campus Garching
The amazing Englischer Garten is just 2 minutes away by foot.
t's a student WG so the main audience are for students/interns. We have different nationalities, so the language of the apartment is English, although some also know German.
We sometimes cook food together and eat in one of the rooms, since they are big enough for this. Otherwise we've also taken a walk/run together in Englischer Garten, played volleyball or went out for a beer.
Roommates are super nice, and everyone respects the routines of the others, be it wanting to go to sleep early or arriving home late from a night out. They are also very friendly, we often invite each other to join for events or outings with other friendgroups.
We share the kitchen utensils, and we have some shared food as well (like oil, spices, sugar, flour etc.). For the rest of the food, each of us has personal fridge and cupboard spaces.
The price includes rent as well as all expenses, like heating, electricity, water, internet etc. , so you can always expect to pay exactly that amount.
It is definitely worth it for both the location and size of the room, as well as the condition of the apartment.
During my Erasmus exchange semester I have been super happy with the direct U6 line to TUM in Garching and the bus to the main campus, and of course the nearby Englischer Garten. With the U-Bahn it is also very easy to reach any location, even on the other side of Munich. Also multiple grocery possibilities are available (Lidl, REWE, Edeka), cafés and restaurants just around the corner. I am grateful I chose this apartment because being so centered allowed me to participate to all occasions of student life in Munich.
The landlord is very available for all requests and issues and is also very flexible. The rental process is smooth.
