German YP searching for a room in SF/Berkeley/Oakland (04.-06/16)

About me:
My Name is Elena, I am 30 years old and I am currently working in Brazil. I am participating in the Young Professional Programme of the German Development Cooperation of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. I am working in the field of sustainable urban mobility as an urban planner.

I love cooking, travelling and doing different kinds of sports, like for example jogging, cross fit, hiking and capoeira. I am a conversable and open minded person, experienced in flat and room sharing and can get along with almost all kinds of people and pets :). I can communicate well on Portuguese, English or German, and less well on French and Spanish.

What I am searching:
For a period of three months, from the 10th of April to the end of June, I will do a business trip to work closely together with partner organization in San Francisco. I do not like to stay in hotels for such a long time, and that is why I am looking for a furnished room for this period of time. Private room would be perfect, but not necessary, it should not cost more that 1000 USD.

I would love to share an apartment with other professionals or with hardworking students, that do not party too much during the week. I also can imagine to live with retired persons or families.
