In unserer WG wird bald ein Zimmer frei, da ich beruflich für zwei Monate nach Utrecht gehe.
Unsere WG, das ist Lena, Hassan, Leon, Johannes, Alberto, und Debo (ich), die nach Utrecht geht. Lena, Hassan, Leon und Johannes kennen sich aus dem Studium, haben in früheren WGs zusammengewohnt und sind schon länger befreundet.
Ich (Debo) bin zusammen mit den anderen im Sommer 2023 in die neu gegründete WG im frisch renovierte Haus gezogen. Ich kam damals neu nach Aachen und wurde unheimlich lieb in den Freundeskreis mit aufgenommen. <3
Lena hat im Mai eine Promotion am Institut für Lasertechnik begonnen, Johannes und Leon schreiben gerade bzw. beginnen ihre Masterarbeit und Hassan ist gerade fertig mit dem Master. Alberto ist seit Oktober 2024 als Zwischenmieter bei uns, da unser Mitbewohner Flo gerade in Australien seine Masterarbeit schreibt. Er kommt aus Italien und ist für seinen PhD nach Aachen gekommen. Wenn wir alle beisammen sind, sprechen wir englisch.
Zur Verfügung stehen uns hier 3 Etagen in einer Doppelhaushälfte mit insg. 158qm mit 800qm Garten. Wir haben eine Fahrradgarage (inklusive ausgestatteter Werkstatt!), wo du dein Zweirad sicher abstellen kannst. Das Erdgeschoss besteht aus Küche, Ess- und Wohnzimmer sowie ein Bad. Im Keller gibts sehr viel Abstellraum, eine Waschmaschine mit Wäscheständer und sogar einen Musikraum, der auch manchmal zum zocken verwendet wird. Im 1. OG befinden sich vier WG-Zimmer plus Bad; im 2. OG sind nochmal zwei WG-Zimmer, deines und das von Lena. Es ist wunderschön hier und ich lebe unglaublich gerne hier!
Dein Zimmer ist im Dachgeschoss und hat circa 18 m^2. Keine Sorge, das Dach ist frisch gedämmt, die Fenster sind neu und die Rolladen sind vollelektrisch, dein Zimmer hat vorallem im April und Mai sehr angenehme Temperaturen. Der Schnitt des Zimmers (s.o "Grundriss_DG") bietet die Möglichkeit, Schlafbereich und Arbeitsbereich gut zu trennen. Außerdem gibt es Fenster in zwei Himmelsrichtungen, was dir auf jeden Fall am meisten Sonnenstunden verschafft und du kannst bis zum Dreiländereck gucken.
Die Bilder zeigen das Zimmer erstmal wie es unmöbliert war, aber auch in dem aktuell eingerichtetem Zustand. Die Möbel würde ich dir für den Zeitraum überlassen, sodass du ganz entspannt und leicht umziehen kannst.

A room will soon be available in our shared flat, as I'm going to Utrecht for two months for work.
Our flatmates are Lena, Hassan, Leon, Johannes, Alberto and Debo (me), who is going to Utrecht. Lena, Hassan, Leon and Johannes know each other from their studies, have lived together in previous shared flats and have been friends for a long time.
I (Debo) moved into the shared flat in the newly renovated house together with the others in summer 2023. I was new to Aachen at the time and was warmly welcomed. <3
Lena started a PhD at the Institute of Laser Technology in May 2024, Johannes and Leon are currently writing or starting their Master's thesis and Hassan has just finished his Master's degree. Alberto has been with us since October 2024. He comes from Italy and came to Aachen for his PhD. When we're all together, we speak English.
We have 3 floors in a semi-detached house with a total of 158 square meters and 800 square meters of garden. We have a bicycle garage (including an equipped workshop!) where you can safely park your two-wheeler. The first floor consists of a kitchen, dining and living room as well as a bathroom. In the basement there is plenty of storage space, a washing machine with clothes horse and even a music room, which is sometimes used for gaming.
On the second floor there are four shared rooms plus a bathroom; on the third floor there are two more shared rooms, yours and Lena's. It's beautiful here and I love living here!
Your room is on the top floor and is about 18 m^2. Don't worry, the roof is freshly insulated, the windows are new and the shutters are fully electric, your room has very pleasant temperatures, especially in April and May. The layout of the room (see “Grundriss_DG” above) allows you to separate the sleeping area from the work area. There are also windows in two directions, which will definitely give you the most hours of sunshine and you can see as far as the border triangle with Belgium and the Netherlands.
I would leave the furniture to you for the period, so that you can move around easily and in a relaxed manner.
The Haus-WG is located in the Melatener Straße. With the best location between the Melaten campus, with its numerous institutes, menses and the university clinic and the Royal Hill, with its sports offer. And if you need to get to the city centre, you can relax on your bike for 10 minutes or take the bus at the stops Halifaxstraße and Melatener Straße. If you have a car, you can park here on Melatener Straße free and very easy. The nearest shopping facilities are the country of sale, Lidl and Aldi, which are also easily accessible by bike or bus.

Unsere gemeinsames WG-Leben ist uns sehr wichtig und deshalb ist es uns wichtig, dass du ebenfalls Lust auf Gemeinschaft hast. Wir verbringen gerne Zeit zusammen, organisieren WG-Feste und Veranstaltungen, gehen zusammen, was trinken, kochen und lachen zusammen. Es kann auch mal ein gemeinsamer Spaziergang, Bastel-, Film- oder Spieleabend sein oder auch Sport. Öfters ergibt sich spontan in kleineren Gruppen etwas, weil der oder die eine irgendwas Cooles entdeckt hat.
Wenn du mal deine Ruhe haben willst, ist das hier in der WG auch sehr gut und einfach möglich. Unser Haus und besonders unser Garten bieten immer genug Rückzugsmöglichkeiten; und dein Zimmer ist natürlich sowieso dein eigenes Reich.

Our shared flat life is very important to us and that's why it's important to us that you also enjoy being part of the community. We enjoy spending time together, organizing flat-share parties and events, going out for drinks, cooking and laughing together. We can also go for a walk together, do arts and crafts, watch a movie, play games or do sports. Often something spontaneously comes up in smaller groups because one of us has discovered something cool.
If you want some peace and quiet, that's also very easy. Our house and especially our garden always offer plenty of opportunities to retreat; and your room is of course your private space anyway.
