Hi everyone! (Du kannst gerne auch Nachrichten auf Deutsch schicken)
My flatmate is leaving Berlin at the end of September, so I am on the lookout for a new flatmate for our 2er WG!
About me:
I am a 28 year-old British/German, guy who moved back to Berlin just in April this year. I am currently working for an NGO here. In my free time, I really like a mix of things from socialising to reading to attempting photography. I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert, who loves meeting new people, is respectful and likes to feel cosy at home! I am looking for someone who is on the same wavelength as me :)
About the room:
The room is quite large and very bright, and you have a view over Schöneberg and the Gasometer from a very beautiful window. You also have a roof window, which can be opened electronically.
Importantly, you will have you own bathroom!
The flat:
The flat is very light and has a lot of space, especially for two people. The living room is in an L-Shape, where your room will also lead onto. The kitchen is also a good size, perfect for two people whilst cooking. Your bathroom is also quite big, with a shower.
The flat is on the fifth floor, with a lift (key operated) that goes to the 4.5 floor (meaning only a small few steps to walk).
Furniture:
When I moved in, in April, I was lucky to have the flat furnished (apart from my room). A lot of the furniture belongs to my current flatmate, but I will look to some things off him (especially big furniture). But would be open to add some more furniture with my new flatmate over time.
Cost:
The room (which is the same for us both) is 1100 EUR a month. This includes water, gas and maintenance costs for the building. We pay electricity and WiFi separately, which in the last months has been 20 EUR and 5 EUR respectively. There is also a GEZ charge that we split between us.
What is needed from you?:
Luckily, as I know the struggle myself, SCHUFA (request now) is not required by the Hausverwaltung. They need simply a proof of ID and income.
The apartment is located about 3 minutes from the S-Bahn station Schöneberg. With the S1 and the Ringbahn, you can get anywhere in Berlin very quickly.
Directly across the street, there's a Penny supermarket. Further down the street, there’s also a Lidl, Edeka, and Rewe.
You can reach the Akazienkiez or the Rote Insel very quickly, which are both very lively. There are many bars, restaurants, and shops in these areas.
I am looking for someone who is respectful of potential different rhythms, up for socialising together and wanting to make the space a real home.
Anmeldung is possible!
